Advantages simple, works well
Disadvantages lid a bit stiff
These feeder cups are a great way to introduce cups to your baby from a very young age.
They come in a variety of colours which are all very bright and cheerful and aren't overly complicated like other baby products seem to be. We tried a few with our grandchildren that sounded ideal- ones with reduced airflow and such but they were so fiddly to put together that they ended up being more hassle than they were worth. This one though is very straight forward indeed and works very well.To use them you just take the lid off and fill up. The lid is slightly difficult to take off as it stays on so well and it's not screw on this is probably my only criticism of it. The side of the cup has mls and ozs measured out so you can see quite clearly how much you are putting in if you did want to measure it.
The lid slots back on afterwards and even if you don't have it on quite as tight as you could it doesn't spill! The spout folds down so you can close it and not have any spills. The spout is soft against babies gums which is very useful as teething gums can be very tender.
The cup has handles on either side which are a good size for babies to be able to hold. When we first introduced this to our grandchildren they were around 5 months old. They couldn't hold it for themselves at first so we held it for them. They were quite alarmed at first by the water coming out without them needing to suck so there were plenty of coughs and splutters but with time they got the hang of it and learnt how to drink properly.
By the time they were about 8 months old they were able to hold it for themselves and not end up coughing and spluttering! They are very easy to clean as they are just plastic but we have noticed that after about 10 months of use the cup is becomming a bit discoloured from the juice.
In my opinion these are very good cups that are very simple yet work very well. They cost £1.49 when we bought them from Toys R us and they're also available in many shops. We definitely recommend them, they're great!

I had an old version of these in red back in the 1970s & used the newer ones for my kids in the 1990s. Great products!
