Tommee Tippee Roll 'n' Go Bibs are a rubber textured bib with a scoop to catch spillages. They have 4 holes on the neck for adjustment. They are designed for children from 4 months upwards. They will even fit around my neck on the smallest adjustment! There are soft rubber dimples on the back which is meant for comfort.
Price -------- I purchased mine from Tesco for £2.97 each. We now have a jolly collection of a red one, a purple one and a blue one! They are very good value as they do not seem to wear out and are used every day in our house. Twin packs are also available for £4.99. (see pic below from Tommee Tippee Website).
Rubbery stuff! ------------------- The bibs have a soft rubbery texture which does not cut into a child's neck so is not uncomfortable. The idea of the soft texture is that you can roll them up for easy transportation and storage. This is great and we have taken them over to relatives houses on many ocassions. They are easy to clean there and then without bringing home a soggy cloth bib. I have not mastered the art of rolling them up really tight like the picture shows. Maybe I just haven't got the patience!
The soft rubber is far superior to the rigid plastic bibs which my children find very uncomfortable and annoying because they stick out too far and hinders enjoyment of a meal. Even though they are rubbery plastic, the children do not seem to get too hot while wearing them. The neck is quite scooped and there are cut out 'ventilation' holes at the neck area.
Cleaning -------------
Cleaning is a doddle. I just wash them up in the washing up water with all my other dishes. The scoop part is useful for draining as I tend to slip them over a plate on the draining rack! They can even be placed into a dishwasher, but sadly I do not have one of those! Oh, you need to remember to empty out the crumbs before submersing them into your nice clean washing up water. I have come a cropper many a time with this and have had all sorts of soggy food debris floating about! Urgh! If you are worried about stains getting ingrained into the rubber, I would suggest you go for the darker coloured bibs, such as the red one. Our pale blue bib is very slightly stained where tomato type foods have been in it. This does not bother me as the staining is so slight. I haven't got time to worry too much about aesthetics when feeding a child anyway!
Effectiveness -------------------
The main use of a bib is to catch food spills and protect the chidren's clothing. These Tommee Tippee bibs are very effective at catching small and slippery articles such as peas or slippery fruit as the bibs have the upturned 'pelican' scoop as shown in the picture. I get fed up with picking little veggies , crumbs and sticky things from the floor so this is marvellous!
The bibs only protect clothing to a certain degree. They are a 'yoke' style, so sleeves are not protected. I tend to roll up my children's sleeves while eating.
The main disadvantage of these bibs for me, is that they are not a snug fit up to the chin or onto the chest, so any sloppy food like a yoghurt can still dribble down onto a child's clothing and sometimes seep underneath the bib. You might not notice this when feeding the child and it can be an annoyance! The neck hole is quite large, even on the tightest hole. I've included a picture of my son wearing his bib, to show what sort of a fit it is.
Summary -------------- I would certainly recommend these bibs because they are so easy to clean. They are the only type of bib I have made an effort to buy more of because they have a very long life. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages if you are using them for a toddler. For a younger baby I would still go for the soft cloth bibs though.

Advantages: good for when you are out. Disadvantages: doesn't adjust small enough.
I decided to purchase this bib, when kieran became 7mths. He had started trying to grab the spoon, so we ended up with more food on his bib than in his mouth. My washing machine was not impressed. It had never done so much washing.
I already had a normal pvc one, but found this was hurting his neck. I felt guilty everytime i put it on him. So when i saw this i jumped at it!! I couldn't believe how soft it was. I showed my partner the bib in excitement. ... ...But then he can't get enthusiastic about any thing that hasn't got four wheels and an engine.

Advantages: Soft material, adjustable, nice colour, has scoop Disadvantages: Not doing the job properly
There are many things you can write about but today I want to pay your attention to a very important product in the life of every parent of a baby or even toddler. It is a bib. If it is too big it can make a child upset and it can refuse to have a meal. If it is too small food would finish all over your favourite dress. If it is waterproof it can be too hot for summer feeding otherwise baby would get wet. (This is becoming more of a philosophical ... ...serious now...)
We tried all kind of bibs and have different ones for different occasions. Recently we wanted to buy plastic one with the pocket which catches food as our 9 months old was starting to eat on his own and throws pieces of food everywhere so there is a statistical chance that pocket/scoop can help.
It was an urgent purchase so I had no chance to search the web and consult dooyoo. I went to Tesco to buy some food and made a detour to ...
