The receiver is good. It comes with a removable part to carry around with you(mine does not work..probably may just need batteries but i have never needed ... ...where it should be but it can easily be knocked out and then you don't hear anything.
It has a yellow light feature also that increases to show volume of noise in room that you are monitoring.
I like it and it seems to last a long time as opposed to others i have had. It would be nice if it recharged itself so that you could walk around with it but it doesnt.
