Advantages: cosy toes for added warmth and handy front pocket. Ease of use Disadvantages: limited use for larger babies
...Price:£44.99
We chose the Tomy Verona carrier over other models as it seemed especially versatile and came with a handy cosy toes attachment. It was ideal for carrying our daughter round the house while she was very small, both when we needed our hands free and when she wouldn't sleep - the combined closeness and movement sent her off quite quickly. The cosy toes was also very useful as it buttoned on or off without having to remover the harness. However, she outgrew the cosy toes in a couple of months.
The harness was relatively easy to put on single-handedly although more than one pair of hands was useful for the first couple of times.
The forward facing position for older babies was also good, allowing them the freedom to look around. However we found with bulky winter clothes this put added strain on the popper fastenings...

Advantages: Comfy. Can take baby out without waking. Disadvantages: None
...The baby bjorn carrier is the best by far. I can take my baby out of this carrier without waking her. It is comfortable and fits really well, even though I am very small. My baby is close to me, snug and very secure. I have used it since the day she was born. A fab product. I really like the fastenings which can be done with one hand and in gloves. It is very easy to put on and take off. I often wear it under my coat with my baby peeping out of the top. I previously had a tomycarrier (with my elder child) and found it so much more difficult and awkward. The baby bjorn is definately the best. Don't even consider any other....

Advantages: Comfortable for baby, leaves your hands free, lumbar support Disadvantages: Heavy, Tricky to wrap round baby and tie up

I am petite and not that strong generally, so it was probably me rather than the design of the carrier. My husband often used it and found it comfortable, and loved carrying the baby round like that.
For the first few months, we carried our daughter facing towards us, and then outwards when she was older and able to hold her head up. The carrier is very stylish - it is black, quite compact and has a leopard print design inside.
The straps and buckling up of the carrier took some getting...

This is a good quality lens that offers good value for money in the very short term. Although as with most photo products, the value will deteriorate over time and should be able to get a cheaper version next year. It incorporates most of the latest... more
