Advantages Advantages Great way for baby to learn and remember loved ones

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No major flaws

I brought the Tomy Forget-Me-Not Photo Album for my daughter as a christmas present when she was 20 months. It cost me £19.99 from Argos. I haven't seen anywhere that does them much cheaper than this, they are all around the twenty pound mark. It's packaged in a nice big colourful box and has an open front so you can test it out. The photo album requires 2 x AAA batteries which are included. The idea of the Tomy photo album is that you put photos of your babies loved ones in and they can record a message for him or her. As far as I know the Tomy photo album is the first of its kind for babies ... more

Advantages Advantages Very robust, helpful to keep in touch with long distance relatives

Disadvantages Disadvantages plastic wallets are hard to move particularly if child squashes them and creases

I bought this for my second child for his first Christmas present when he was nearly 7 months old. He was just at that stage where he was sitting and wanting to grab things, and this looked ideal. It has space to put in 8 photographs, and also for each double page spread you can record a message that can be played for that photograph. I know babies really like looking at faces, so this is ideal for that, and also, my husbands parents live 250 miles away. I wanted a way for my baby to be familiar with them on a more regular basis. Before christmas we selected some suitable pictures to put in it ... more

Our son was given this Forget-Me-Not photo album by a friend of ours whose taste in presents for him is absolutely spot-on, so we knew straight away that he’d like it! He got it for his first birthday, and although it’s allegedly suitable for babies from 6 months onwards, I think 12 months onwards is probably the age when children would get more out of it. The album takes 8 photos, approximately 6 ins wide by 8 ins tall, but the apertures don't have completely straight sides, so some photos work better than others. 6 photos go in double-sided pages, with 1 each more at the very front and back ... more

The Tomy forget me not photo album is great! I had seen it in a shop and knew I had to get it for my sons firtst birthday. He loves flicking through books, he loves toys that talk to him, he loves his family and he is starting to make sense of words and pictures so why not combine it all into one activity? THATS what this is! It has coloured plastic frames as pages with a transparent plastic sheet in between for you to slot photos of loved ones. With each turn of the page a magical sound is played and with the press of a button you can record your own message on each page! Or even better get ... more
