When my wife became pregnant we sat down and wrote a list of all the stuff we would need for our little bundle of joy. I'd often seen people out and about with there cute tiny babies in the little pouch on their front and thought it looked cute. I really wanted one but I was sure that it would be a complete waste of money. I really thought it would be a five minute wonder that wouldn't last um...........five minutes! How wrong was I?
We got our sling from Argos and it cost us just £12.99. I thought this was a bargain considering some can cost up to around £40 which I was not prepared to pay. It is blue in colour and has a little 'Tomy' logo on the front.
Our baby was born and I was dying to try this little contraption out so we thought we'd go out for a walk. It took us about 20 minutes to actually get the sling on and our baby in. We had it on the wrong way around at first then it was a two handed job to get our baby in the thing but we got the instructions out and we were finally ready to go! It did get easier and it wasn't long before I was putting my baby in it by myself. It's actually not that complicated but we were tired (thats my excuse anyway!)
I find the sling very comfortable and because of the way the straps go it doesn't hurt my back. There is a strap that goes across the bottom of my back that is suppose to support it aswell. You have to put your baby face inwards at first but once they can hold their head, they can go outwards and admire the beautiful scenery around them (or in my case the road and cars).
My first son loved being in the sling although he didn't like the actual process of being strapped in. My second child is the same. He's ok when I've stopped faffing but screams the place down when I'm strapping and clicking. Both of them would immediately fall asleep when they were younger but as they got older they just loved taking everything in.
I have got an amazingly long usage out this sling. My first son was quite petite and was very light so I was still carrying him in it when he was 12mths old. My second son is slighty bigger and he's still in it at the moment. He's only three months so it'll be a little while before he stops going it yet.
Not only is this a great sling but I love the fact that you are carrying extra weight so I must be burning loads of calories. I was back in my jeans very quickly this time around because I carried Elijah in the sling and I had Noah in the pushchair.
This is a great sling and I'd recommend you buy it for your baby. Even if you tend to take the car everywhere its great for going shopping in town or even food shopping. It's also brilliant if you want to go out on a walk that isn't pram friendly and if you don't think you can carry your baba for miles then go on a walk with someone else and I'm sure they will gladly take over for a while.

Definitely getting one of these this time. We like taking our 5yr old out for walks around woods & farm parks, not good terrain for a buggy so this would be great.
