The Toni & Guy 3080560 styler is a multi purpose product that costs around £24.99. It comes in a clear plastic case with a carry handle. The styler is silver with toni & guy printed on the handle in red and the red on/off switch is located on the handle also.
The styler comes with three attatchments; a thin curling tong attatchment with a red plastic round brush that slides over the top, a fatter curling tong attatchment for creating waves and looser curls and a third spiral attachment for creating tighter curls. Each attatchment hasa red dot near its base and when attatched and the dot fades this is your indicator that the styler has reached the correct temperature. The styler does only have one temperature setting.
Each attatchment is loaded onto the handle using a twist and lock system. There are locked and unlocked symbols to guide you and all three attatchments have a metal fold down stand that prevents the styler from burning surfaces.
The instruction manuel is easy to understand and informative with some helpful styling tips included. The cable from the handle to the plug is 1.5 metres.
I use this styler usually two or three times a month for curling my hair and usually use the wavy and tight curl attatchments. The hot brush attatchment is good for correcting any mishaps or those awkward bits that take a while to get under control. Having quite unruly hair I have always found this styler gives a good result and each of the interchangable attatchments do produce the intended type of curl or wave.
The disadvantages of this product are that it takes around 5-7 minutes to heat up which compared to many other stylers on the market is quite a while to wait! The twist and lock system has also come loose midway through styling, it is easily fixed but if your not careful and the attatchment slides completely off, you could get burned!
On the whole this styler is a good all rounder that gives a good result, as it is more of an occasional use product for me personally the few disadvantages are not an issue but if you were to use it on a daily basis they might be more of a problem. It is great value for money too! Toni & Guy are a respected and trusted haircare brand and this styler really does live up to their good name.
