The straightening plates are black and glossy and don't snag or tug the hair whilst straightening. They are of a nice weight and are of a slimline shape which are excellent ... ...thick and does not tangle when turned, as the cable is free to rotate 360 degrees, and is of a decent length which can be coiled around the straighteners and then tucked into the heat protective roll up mat. The heat protective mat is excellent for resting the straighteners on whilst you section your hair or just while they heat up so you don't burn your carpet! I have had many straighteners in the past which were mainly cheap ones which would last a few months and then break. I knew that Toni and Guy straighteners would be high quality with good results and I certainly was not wrong.
The straightening plates are black and glossy and don't snag or tug the hair whilst straightening. They are of a nice weight and are of a slimline shape which are excellent if you are on the go. The cable is thick and does not tangle when turned, as the cable is free to rotate 360 degrees, and is of a decent length which can be coiled around the straighteners and then tucked into the heat protective roll up mat. The heat protective mat is excellent for resting the straighteners on whilst you section your hair or just while they heat up so you don't burn your carpet! The heat is toggled by a dial which you turn to whichever heat is best for you and there is an on/off switch about halfway up the irons.
The irons themselves heat up within seconds so you are good to go straight away, the heat is continuous and I have not experienced any loss of heat as with other irons. They can be used to create poker straight locks, beautiful tight curls by wrapping hair around the barrel and also for flicks at the tips.
The straighteners are a must have for any hair fanatic and are well worth their money, invest in them and they will last you a very long time.
