I have a lovely Silverline Heavy Duty Scraper which I have used myself on may occasions and it is still fine. I keep it in the shed. I like to do my own DIY and decorating whenever I can and this is why I invested in what thought was a very high quality scraper for my walls. I bought this from Wickes, when my daughter took me in her car to have a look for the bathroom tiles and this cost me £4.50 which I thought was a flair price to pay as the man in the shop said it was a good one.

I liked my Silverline Scraper because firstly it has got a lovely long handle, which makes it much easier and more comfortable for me to hold while I am busy scraping. The handle measures 25cm which I don’t include the length of the blade, this is just the handle itself. I like the blade as well because it is nicely angled and this helps to make it much easier I find for getting all the awkward bits of paper off the wall and it means that I don’t have to bend my back so much. The size of the blade is 10cm long and it scrapes very well indeed. I have had no accidents with the blade, even though it is very sharp, and this is because I am always very careful when I do my DIY and I use as many safety precautions as I can. I have watched a lot of DIY programmes on the Shed Channel.

I have used this for not just taking off ordinary wallpaper but also for taking off all the woodchip as well and it worked fine. I have also used it to take off the paint off the walls and there were lots of layers of this old paint which had been painted layer upon layer and it worked very well. This impressed me. I often had to use a smaller scraper though for the tighter areas but for the major parts I used my lovely Silverline Scraper.

I think this is a wonderful scraper and it has lasted me well and it is very strong and robust and I am very pleased with it indeed.
I recommend this scraper to you.
