Don’t Be Too Hard With Tooth and Tongue!
Advantages: Aids correct brushing. Disadvantages: None for me.
...My favourite toothbrush is now AQUAFRESH FLEX TOOTH & TONGUE
Since discovering this useful hygiene aid, I realise what I was doing wrong when cleaning my teeth. My dentist kept telling me to brush them more often and more thoroughly to improve my oral hygiene and therefore give better protection to my gums. I now believe I was trying too hard, or rather brushing too hard.
Brushing too hard can damage teeth as well as gums. After using the Aquafresh ... ...The first Aquafresh Flex toothbrush was developed many years ago now, but the company has continued to try to improve the design further, and the Aquafresh Flex Tooth and Tongue is their most up to update manual toothbrush. The thing that I like most about all Aquafresh toothbrushes is the flexible neck that bends to absorb excess pressure and reduces the risk of damage to gums. The combination of flexible rubber, which is made easier to grip because ...

Aquafresh Flex Tooth & Tongue Toothbrush : A magic toothbrush?
Advantages: Good cleaning action, bendy neck, made my teeth feel healthy Disadvantages: Packaging almost impossible to open, difficult to clean the back of the tongue
...few in Sainsburys and the Aquafresh Extreme Tooth & Tongue brush caught my eye. I was particularly attracted to the claims on the rear of the pack that it is supposed to remove 5 times more bacteria than other toothbrushes, and I liked the idea of a flexible neck (flexible neck on the brush, I mean!). The brush apparently contains silver ions, which are said to help prevent bacterial growth.
My trusty old toothbrush suitably binned, I grappled with ... ...out my newbie Aquafresh purchase. Because I was finding the pack extremely difficult and frustrating to open using hands alone, the air became very blue – so I reached for a pair of scissors and a sharp knife. Even with some very energetic use of those cutting implements, I still found the pack frustratingly hard to open, but I got there eventually.
Taking the toothbrush in my hand with the intention of testing it for effectiveness of manipulation, ...

Aquafresh 3-Way BUZZ Toothbrush
Advantages: Light, Easy to Use, Effective Disadvantages: Not easy to track down
...brush. The Aquafresh 3 way buzz toothbrush is the size and weight of a manual toothbrush, but is battery powered. The best of both worlds. Its lightness and bendy head means that I do not put too much pressure on my gums.
The brush is going to be sold at 4.49 which is more expensive than a manual toothbrush, but I find the replacement heads for my electric toothbrush are more expensive than this, so I think it works out value for money.
For travelling ... ...you can have both with Aquafresh 3-Way BUZZ, the first Aquafresh manual toothbrush with a vibrating 3-way split head.
It gives you 3 times better cleaning action* with the comfort and control of a manual toothbrush. Its main features are:
3-Way split head - with 3 independently flexible parts that adapt to the contours of teeth and gum line to thoroughly and gently sweep away plaque - even from the most difficult to reach areas. Vibration - a mini ...

These teeth don't chatter, they sing!
Advantages: Encourages teeth brushing and makes it fun. Lasting battery Disadvantages: Music running through your teeth????
I first saw these when my daughter was opening her Christmas presents last year, and my first impressions were, great concept but lets see how long it lasts. My daughter isn't a fan of brushing her teeth, those of you who are used to reading my reviews about children's products will be realising that my daughter isn't a fan of much. OK, so when she opened this particular Christmas present it was thrown to the side instantly and the next present was ... ...asked for her new toothbrush. It is battery operated, though that is purely for the music, the head does not rotate or anything. I has an on off button and only plays music (in our case Hannah Montana "Rock Star") when you place pressure on the head, i.e when you are brushing your teeth. My daughter loved this and kept brushing for 2 minutes. Happy mummy. She uses this toothbrush everyday and it is still running on its original battery! impressive. ...

Mummy! I can hear voices in my head!
Advantages: Encourages kids to clean their teeth Disadvantages: Need to apply a lot of pressure, tinny music can be irritating for others
I first saw these bizarre sounding musical toothbrushes advertised about eighteen months ago and I couldn't decide whether these were a brilliant idea or an expensive gimmick! When I saw the advertised price per toothbrush as being £7.99 I decided that they were the latter as there is no way that I would pay that much for a toothbrush, however great they may be! When I spotted them for sale at £2.99 each in Wilkinson's last December, however, I thought ... ...one found its way in my oldest son's Christmas stocking! The 'unique selling point' of these toothbrushes is not just that they are electronic brushes marketed at kids, nor even that they are musical but that the music itself can, allegedly, only be heard while you are actually brushing your teeth. The tunes are much funkier than your average musical toothbrush. No nursery rhymes here - these toothbrushes are aimed at much cooler kids and feature ...
