A tooth whitener that works

Advantages: works quickly without damaging teeth
Disadvantages: A bit pricey BUT it is worth it

...starting to see a difference. Blanx has a nice taste and contains extract of Arctic lichen which is a non abrasive cleaning agent used to kill bacteria while leaving behing the good bacteria and help stop plaque sticking to teeth. When i do run out I would be happy to buy another despite the price. There are more expensive tooth whiteners out there that I wouldn't trust to use on my teeth but seems like a really safe and effective product.. ...

...current toothpaste experiment is with Blanx Bio repair. BLANX Blanx was first developed in 1990 after an Amercian team of scientist on an expedition to the artic noticed the native people had very white teeth. They found out why, the natives cleaned their teeth using moss! Artic moss is one of the oldest forms of plant life known to man but it wasnt until the 1950's that scientists discovered the moss helped build up a barrier against bacteria. ...
...anti-viral and anti oxident properties. Blanx was patented and approved in 1992 and has since become one of the top whitening toothpastes in the world. BIOREPAIR Blanx Bio repair claims it "Repairs daily wear before it becomes decay" and "Cleans teeth, protects gums, fights plaque, freshens breath" It contains "Nano-crystals" now i'll admit i know nothing about nano-crystals and so will tell you how the company explain them "Nano-crystals are ...

Expensive and Ineffective!

Advantages: Claen teeth and nice taste
Disadvantages: Can cause problems with pain.

...invited to try the new Colgate Sensitive Pro-relief toothpaste. I do suffer from some sensitivity with my teeth so I was looking forward to giving this a try. What Are Senstive Teeth? Having sensitive teeth means that eating very cold products such as ice-cream or drinking hot drinks can cause sharp pains in the teeth. Sometimes even cold, windy weather can start sensitivity pains and I usually have to use a scarf across my mouth in bad weather. ...
...What is Senstive Pro-Relief? Colgate claims that this toothpaste uses 8% Arginine to block these channels and to prevent the pain. It recommends brushing the teeth twice a day with the product to build up a protective coating. However it also claims that this product is special because you can actually rub the paste into a sensitive area with the finger after it has started to hurt and it will deaden the pain after one minute. As well as ...

Foaming brilliance!

Advantages: Does what it says on the tin
Disadvantages: Price!

...it activates into foam. Aquafresh claims this removes more bacteria than any other toothpaste on the market, and they are promoting the Iso Active as a “new generation” of toothpaste as it tackles 25% more bacteria than other brands. The “SPECIAL” packaging The reason for the packaging is what made this toothpaste stand out from the rest of the bog standard ones. It has a funky steel container, with a pump action release on the top. The tube ...
...band displaying the flavour of citrus mint. Other slogans on the packaging are ones such as healthy gums, strong teeth and importantly, fresh breath. The Iso active is a 100ml tube. The only downfall on the packaging is that the container is hard, and not see-through, you cannot see how much toothpaste you have left. I’ve had to buy a spare in just in case it runs out without me noticing. Also, because of the high pressure of the pump release coupled ...

Oh dear!

Advantages: Cleans teeth
Disadvantages: Doesn't whiten!

Theramed 2 in 1 Whitening, 75ml, £1.30 (depending on where you buy it!) I am a smoker, not a big smoker, but I also drink copious amounts of Diet Coke so I do need to use whitening toothpaste to keep my teeth white. I've tried various brands over the years and have a few favourites. I saw this on offer in Wilko's (I think it was Wilko's anyway?) so thought I'd give it a try. It does look quite impressive. It claims to be a 2 in 1 toothpaste and mouthwash ...
...I've been using it three weeks and have still to see an improvement! It is in an oddly shaped bottle, like a miniature shampoo bottle. You get 75ml and it will last for up to 12 months. When you pour (yes, pour!) it out, you will see that it is a thick liquid rather than a paste or gel. This makes getting it on your toothbrush a little difficult as it seeps through the bristles and can drip off it if you are not quick! When brushing, it doesn't feel ...
