Macleans Tooth Whitener

Advantages: whiter teeth, fresher breah
Disadvantages: none

...am writing this review of Macleans Whiteing toothpaste because of something I discovered a few months ago. I looked in the mirror and noticed that my teeth were decidedly dingy, and wondered what I could d about it. As I am a receptionist in a rather upmarket finance house, I need to smile all the time, so it is important that my smile looks good. My best friend has always had lovely white sparkly teeth, so I asked for her advice. She told me that ...
...off-white, but after using Macleans Tooth whitener, her teeth got whiter and whiter. I was a bit sceptical at first, I couldn't believe that any toothpaste could actually whiten teeth, but after trying it for a couple of days, my teeth were white!! Not only white, but sparkling too. My breath tasted fresher, very pepperminty, so I felt more confident as well. I would recommend Macleans Toth Whitene to every-one, it certainly solved my problem. ...

Review of Macleans Whitening Toothpaste

Oral cleanliness

Advantages: Cheap and effective
Disadvantages: none

...be quite minty and here Macleans does not let me down. It also makes my mouth feel clean and fresh removing any thought of bad breath, it has a bit of a zing to it but not as much as perhaps I'd like. Having said this the reason I continue to use Macleans is that recently I have had a slight problem with sore gums and mintier toothpastes seem to irritate this problem and in fact prolong it. I have tried those sensitive toothpastes but find that generally ...
...good toothpaste I use another Macleans product, for my oral rinsing. This next bit isn't going to sound to pleasant so if you are squeamish turn away now. Whilst using other toothpastes and the Macleans mouthwash I have noticed that on spitting out the wash after rinsing there are some rather large chunks of darker material floating around in the rinse, now I'm not sure what this is, but I', pretty sure its good to get it out of your mouth. The reason ...

Get Fresh! Invigorating Mint Explosion!?!

Advantages: Basic formula, quite cheap
Disadvantages: not sure there are any!

...protects and cleans and freshens! Macleans is the name that has been associated with good oral care products for a very long time, along with Aquafresh, Colgate and all the other toothpastes we see on the supermarket shelves. The first Macleans was created in 1919 by a Alex Maclean, a New Zealander. In 1927 he formulated Macleans Peroxide Toothpaste - it was the launch of the very first whitening toothpaste. Things have a changed a bit since then! ...
...in 2004, the name of Macleans is as reputable as ever with a whole range of toothpastes, mouthwashes, toothbrushes and care products to chose from. I recently bought Macleans FRESH mint toothpaste. I got it from Safeways for £2.55 on a buy one get one free offer. BARGAIN I thought!!! The paste is a product from GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, Brentford. It is also by appointment to HRH The Prince of Wales. The 100ml tube is in a cardboard ...

Review of Macleans Fresh Mint

Maclean-ing my teeth!

Advantages: Great taste whitening!
Disadvantages: Price

...with the Triclene element in Macleans Whitening! Although a little pricy it certainly makes your mouth feel clean without taking the top layer of skin off your palate! This paste isnt too frothy with just enough froth to feel your pearly whites are getting enough attention. Nice whitening effect when used regularly, you can see the difference in just over a week! Kids under 7 can't use this but hey, kids under 7shouldn't need whitening paste should ...

Review of Macleans Whitening

Diamond review  Lies, damned lies, and toothpaste marketing.

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Expensive for a generic toothpaste with a different flavour

...this anywhere as it's a Macleans (GSK) product. Ok, perhaps I was naive. Gullible even. But then the blurb on the pack is so enticing... 'Over time, acids formed from sugars in food and drink can harm your tooth enamel, causing dental mineral loss. This formulation contains an active remineralising ingredient scientifically proven to intensify the replenishment of those lost minerals, helping to restore tooth enamel. Daily brushing will gradually ...
...made tooth decaying acids? Are Macleans are now saying sugar is responsible? Where have all the bacteria gone? Perhaps they are a little inconvenient for the marketing people to deal with? This part of the blurb is simply exploiting the widely broadcast message that sugar is bad for your teeth, without going to the trouble of really explaining why. <<< Quick basic mouth biology lesson >>> In reality the demineralisation of a tooth is caused by acids ...
