my inaugural opinion, and what a way to start. at the moment i am a bartender in london currently having a few weeks off and not really having anything to do, i was invited here by a friend.
it looks like a decent enough site, and i thought i was pass along some of my best drinks for everyone to enjoy.
1. long island ice tea
its good, but get the top shelf brands of gin, vodka, rum, triple sec, sweet n sour, and cola, squeeze a few lemons on top and drop them in. it adds more flavour.
2. cosmopolitan
this one has come back in recent years, dont know why though. its vodka, cointreau, cranberry juice and lime. there really isnt much in this drink but it tastes good. a lot of women seem to drink this because it looks sophisticated in a martini glass.
3. bloody mary
most people dont like this drink. all it is is vodka and bloody mary mix of tomato juice and beef broth with tabasco. if you want an extra kick, try inferno vodka, but you have to wear gloves to even pour it. it can burn your hands.
4. rum yumbi
might not have heard about this one. its coconut rum and baileys and kahlua. its quite good with a hint of sweetness.
5. angels tip
its a simple one this is. dark creme de cacao and half and half. thats it. but its good. smooth going down.
6. el dueno
this one is a bit flirty with the girls on how you make it. with reserva del dueno, gran gala, triple sec, margarita mix, water and orange juice. salting the rim makes it look like a margarita. but its with orange.
7. french martini
this isnt a pretty drink. its chambord, grand marnier, sweet n sour, with clear soda or lime soda. if not made right, it looks brownish.
8. kir
all it is is chablis and creme de cassis. nothing special really. but when topped with a lemon its amazing.
9. mint julep
its really big in new orleans from what i have been told. its bourbon, simple syrup of water and sugar, and lots of mint leaves. its quite strong of mint but makes your breath smell nice after pounding back the lager.
10. sweet tart
a pretty mix of blackberry brandy, sweet n sour, with lemon lime soda. it helps to have a sugar rim around this.well, it wasnt so bad writing. maybe ill try more.
These sound really nice. When i went on holiday me and my boyfried was drinking cocktails one of them bein the gran caneria! It was something like vodka, banna juice, orange juice and i cant remember the name but its the red stuff that makes the drinks look pretty! Shellie XxX
