I have quite an ecclectic taste when it comes to TV so finding a top ten list that wasn't just bizarre was pretty difficult, but, in no particular order, here goes! . . ===Mock the Week... more

    Advantages Advantages Great telly!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages They have gone

I decided to post this nostalgic suggestion up for a bit of abstract fun. Dooyoos obsession with Halloween is doing my nut in. It makes no sense, although there are one or two birds on here that come into season this time of year. Well I am a devil! My top ten programs are the ones that I want to see come back and so able to be made with the principal characters who are still alive today. That would rule out Dads Army and Rising Damp etc. The cast must be ready and willing and probably not doing as much as they used to do after these show made them famous, the chance to get them back on TV ... more

Advantages Advantages Evenings pass pleasantly enough

Disadvantages Disadvantages Evenings tend to pass unmemorably

There I was, so short of inspiration for a new review that I was even contemplating taking on this month’s “Current Issue”. This, as you may be aware, invites reviewers to address the question: “TV - Could you live without it and how would your time be spent in replace of it?” Elegantly expressed as ever, with the gist of what they’re looking for probably clear even to those who are not native speakers of Ciaoese. Then I remembered that I’d already written about TV some years ago, in response to a challenge/questionnaire that was current at the time. So it seemed simpler, if lazier, just to ... more

    Advantages Advantages I enjoy them

    Disadvantages Disadvantages You may not

Having spent only 22 years on this planet, I have probably missed out on some extraordinary TV experiences. I am told that Dr. Who and Dallas were amongst the ultimate TV programmes, but having only seen a couple of episodes of each, and being at such a young age, they really had very little meaning to me, therefore I feel I have to leave such marvels out of my list. After all, we are encouraged to write reliable informed reviews about products we have some knowledge of. Anyway, there’s my disclaimer out of the way, now on with the job in hand. 10. Coronation Street Most of you will be totally ... more

    Advantages Advantages TELLY!!!!!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages wastes time

As i am soon to be living the life of luxury that is university, doing bugger all but sitting on me fat arse watching telly and munching on taties, i decided to have a butchers at some of the best telly about nowadays. I came across this topic, and although deeply disturbed at the clip of some peoples choices, i decided to enlighten you all with what you should be watching instead. So in no particular order, here goes my list of the ten best programmes ever. ~~~The League Of Gentlemen. ~~~ This series is set in a highly inbred and strange little town in a corner of england that has long since ... more

    Advantages Advantages Just great

Disadvantages Disadvantages Some will disagree about Dawsons I can see it coming

As you can see from this list I have two distinct lines of preference - modern sci-fi and 60's/ 70's comedy sitcoms. Apart from a few exceptions (Cold Feet, Spooks, The Office, Casualty and Holby City) I find modern T.V a big let down and wonder why I have to part, year in year out, with a T.V licence fee (especially seen as I mostly watch programmes via a cable T.V company anyway) but lets not get into that debate. Here's my favourite ten T.V programmes past or present ; 10. Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads First aired in 1973 and ran for 2 seasons with 27 episodes completed. This series ... more
