Topfield 5810 - Still Top Of Their Field, IMHO

Advantages: Probably best in field. easy to use basic functions
Disadvantages: You'll get more out of it if you can link it to a PC

-tuner PVR (that?s a personal video recorder) to trap as many programmes as I fancy to free me from sitting down to scheduled TV. I can also skip tedious commercials with ease and am therefore single-handedly the downfall of ITV. Up till now, I relied on my excellent Topfield 5800, affectionately known on its own forum as ?Toppy? ? not a high-street name I?ll grant you, but once you?ve got the hang of one, I?m convinced it?s the best there is when it comes to versatility. Well until now that is. Then Topfield went and muddied their own and everyone else?s waters by producing the Topfield 5810, a slicker looking machine, much more in the mould of a ?proper? piece of shiny black A/V equipment - why it?s even nearly a standard width. Essentially, a lot of the improvements are cosmetic. The fluorescent display now shows the proper channel name, e ...

Wii Fit Plus a big improvement

Advantages: Good value for money, increased workout choices
Disadvantages: Limited target settings

After using the original Wii Fit game for about a year, I found the Wii Fit Plus to be a big improvement, and good value at only £20. It automatically transfers all your saved data from the Wii Fit so you don't have to start over. I found the major improvement to be the facility to program a workout, rather than just being able to do individual exercises as before - it means a much better workout overall as you don't have to keep stopping and selecting exercises. You can either select a preset workout from the menu or customise your own using your favourite bits. There are a number of new excercises present as well which I found great as I did start getting a bit bored with the limited selection on the original Wii Fit. The calories/target section is a bit of a let down, you can set a target for calories to burn each day but these are ...

Review of Wii Fit Plus (Wii)

Wii fit Plus, some additonal good new features.

Advantages: fun, easy to use, great for kids
Disadvantages: it's not enough to cause a large weight loss so if thats what your hoping for try something else.

The new wii fit plus comes with a variety of new games and settings including being able to target specific body areas. This game is a fun extension of the orginal wii fit, it has all the same features with some added extra's so if you don't already have wii fit there's no need to buy it just the wii fit plus and the board. I recommend wii fit plus for keeping the kids and adults entertained but not as a fitness program. The new games are highly entertaining with the same fromat as the orginal wii fit so it's very easy to use. The new routines are a great new addition because you can put in a target area and there are 3 activities that are specific to that area, or you can make your own routines for a training programme or just if you want to 3 games in a row so yout dont have to keep stopping between playing. Overall though FUN ...
