Advantages: Good range of clothing Disadvantages: Can be expensive
Topshop is one of my favourite clothing shop chains. I love the variety, the trendy options the music they have in store while you shop, the whole experience of buying from their shops although sometimes a bit frantic, has always been overall good.
Now and again I visit the big store in Oxford Street London and although it is not a battle of cockroaches as in Primark stores, nevertheless teenegers and youngsters love buzzing around ... ...has been designing items for them, I checked the first range that came out and thought it was very selective and addressed solely to skinny people, I am not one of them and refuse to be one so I suppose many other people feel excluded and might have not even given a chance to the new designs that have just come out and have proved to be a bit of a flop.

Topshop is one of my favourite clothing shop chains. I love the variety, the trendy options the music they have in store while you shop, the whole experience of buying from their shops although sometimes a bit frantic, has always been overall good.
Now and again I visit the big store in Oxford Street London and although it is not a battle of cockroaches as in Primark stores, nevertheless teenegers and youngsters love buzzing around to see the latest arrivals. Lately supermodel Kate Moss has been designing items for them, I checked the first range that came out and thought it was very selective and addressed solely to skinny people, I am not one of them and refuse to be one so I suppose many other people feel excluded and might have not even given a chance to the new designs that have just come out and have proved to be a bit of a flop. www.katemosstopshop.com shows you the latest updates on this range.
PRICES ********** Pricewise I find that their items can be slightly overpriced, certainly I find that the materials and the attention to detail and the sewing are much better compared to Primark or New Look, but still I find that some items are charged at a ridiculous high price, considering some products seem to come from countries like Vietnam, Romania where labour should be "affordable" in the eyes of big retail giants. If I had some official proof confirming that the price is high because people producing these items are paid fairly then I would not mind (I love Primark do not get me wrong, but sometimes I wonder if people / children are exploited to a in-humane extent to offer us such cheap prices).
My favourite range from them are their denims, I love getting their jeans, not only they have all sorts of shapes to flatter different body shapes but compared to brands like Diesel and Miss 60 you can get away with a decent pair for £40 / £45. The material is nice and thick, it lasts for years, the only downside is that if a model goes really really well, rest assured that you will meet someone with the same pair as yours just by walking down a main street. A positive about their jeans is that they cater also for tall and petites and sizes come in both width of the waist: 28, 29, 30 inches etc.and lengh: 30, 32 or 34 inches..
They also have a range for pregnant woment and it looks pretty cool, which means that if you are expecting you can still be assured to be following the latest trends! Furthermore something I did not know is that they also do a baby range, so along with a yummy mummy goes a yummy baby!!
Their products range from clothing to shoes, from vintage items (I wonder who would ever buy) to accessories like jewellery... bags, belts..
CUSTOMER SERVICE ********** Store assistants are pretty much all young and very efficient, they don't' look slack, they are always looking very cool and in control, not rude in any way but not overly polite at the same time. They serve you pretty quickly so that they can serve the next customer and do not ask any questions if you return any items and want a refund, they check the receipt, scan the item, ask for your signature and that is all, job done!
I once forgot a shopping bag in the Oxfort Street store while looking through a rail of T-shirts. When I got back home I started panicking and was very upset… there was a telephone number on the receipt I got for them ( yes I eventually bought the T-shirt) and spoke to their lost and found department which asked for a full description of the items and assured me they had it with them. The following day I went back to collect my property without any hassle and was very pleased with their honesty.
I remember also that during hot summer days sometimes they do give away small bottles of water with Topshop written around it. Sometimes also when you shop on lucky days you can get cotton bags rather than their plastic ones, and these are really cool as can be re-used as beach bags or just simply shopping carriers.
CHANGING ROOMS ********** In my experience their changing rooms have always been pretty clean and definitely not smelly (I find that so off putting when it happens..). Their mirrors have always been big, clean and in order, in general you can take up to 6 items with you, which is not bad, some shops only allow 3 or something..
When it comes to queues well… there is not much we can do about them, obviously weekends are maniac, going shopping as soon as the shops open avoids big crowds, another way would be to go shopping on weekdays which I do understand cannot be an option for people who work 9 to 5.
ONLINE SERVICE ********** Topshop offers an online service for the lazy ones… just joking.. sometimes if you don't find your size in store its is so much easier to order it online and have it delivered to the comfort of your home just go to www.topshop.co.uk. Their website is pretty good, picture quality is rather clear and you do have a wide option of clothing and can also maximize into the item you want in order to have a better look. In my opinion online service is very good although I always prefer seeing, touching and trying on an item before making my purchase. Of course you can return the item by post or even better to a store (as long as you have proof of purchase) but personally considering that they charge for delivery I'd rather shop in store… these are their online charges:
Standard £4 delivery within 3 working days Express £5 delivery in the next working day Standard delivery is free for orders over £100
AVAILABILITY OF STORES ********** Their stores are pretty much available everywhere and you can find the shop closer to you using the online store locator. Needless saying that in some towns shops can be smaller than in bigger cities so choice can be limited. They seem to have stores internationally, in fact I remember seeing one in Barcelona, but apparently they have shops in Turkey, Iceland, Israel, Chile, Singapore, Russia, USA just to name a few..
STORE CARD ********** Topshop offers a store card, but in my opinion like with all store cards it is better people stay away from them. They do offer a 15% discount on your first purchase, occasional discounts on sales or new collections but it has a 19.9% APR. In all honesty this is like a credit card so beware and do not fall in the trap!
GIFT CARDS AND SHOPPING SPREES ********** The store offers a gift card which is so much better than vouchers as it can be re-used and looks like a credit card. It can be topped with anything from £1 to £200 plus apparently you can protect it against loss and theft. You currently cannot use it online but it looks like they plan to allow you in the future.
An other service they offer (at he Oxford Circus store in London only) is a shopping spree with gift cards for £100, £150 or £200 is an appointment with their own style advisor, pastry cakes, hot or cold drinks for you and a friend and a blow dry in the Hershensons Blow Dry Bar. As it looks like this service is very poplular they recommend people to book 6 weeks in advance. In my opinion this makes a perfect special treat!!
MY OPINION ********** In my opinion Topshop is pretty good and offers trendy clothes with good quality, I do agree with some people though that a negative side is the fact that their sizes go up to 16 only and do not cater for larger people who might feel left out. I think what they tend to do is to aim their products to the average population of youngsters possibly students who don't mind paying a bit extra to be able to follow the trends. I feel in fact that not all in their range can actually be worn by people over 35 for example as their fashion is a bit edgy and may be not that suitable.
I am not really impressed with their sales though, whatever is left over is either damaged or stuff not at all appealing and the saving is not that much anyway, I have personally seen better discounts elsewhere to be honest.
Advantages: Very nice clothes Disadvantages: Can be Pricey
Topshop is a leading fashion store on the highstreet and is very popular amongst teenagers and young people. Topshop has a very wide range of clothes which vary from sparkly dresses and glamorous heels, to casual daytime wear, jeans and hoodys. Topshop also has an impressive range of underwear, beachwear, pjamas, handbags and I've even seen gym wear in topshop in the past. Topshops range is mainly aimed at teenagers, students, and young people in ... ...do upto sizes 16), however many items in topshop would look just as nice on much older people! The general style of clothes is highly fashionable, trendy, 'young' and somewhat rather unique from other leading highstreet stores. Topshop also has a nice range of timeless pieces - clothes that never go out of fashion, such as jeans, some coats, plain tshirts, wool jumpers, plain black 'work' trousers and shirts, and so on. It is this wide range of clothes ...

Background
In every Town, in every City, on every high street across the UK you will have at some point come into close contact with Topshop Ltd. With the striking black capital letters logo set against a stark white background it jumps out at you. Topshop produces high quality (although sometimes this is debatable) up to the minute, fashionable, trendy clothes at affordable prices so consumers dont have to pay hundreds for almost the same outfit but with a designer tag on it. As of late the shop seems to have gone through a rebrand with its reputation soaring through ...

Advantages: Keeps up to date with current fashion trends. Disadvantages: In my opinion-doesn't cater well for the short or tall amongst us.
...buy the current clothes form Topshop, for me, this isn't always possible. Now lets not forget that Topshop do offer a petite section of their clothing as they do a Tall selection, however in my opinion this selection varies from store to store. In my local town, which has a great shopping centre, there is a Topshop, which I regularly visit, however this does not have a petite section, which means that I have to travel to the next biggest town, which ... ...quality in the t-shirts/vests in Topshop, to those you might buy in cheaper stores such as Primark/Matalan. In terms of give/stretch, how well they wash, if they shrink, how thin the material is etc. These cheaper stores are doing a very good job of catching up. Here is my opinion on other items you can buy in Topshop. Underwear and accessories: I love the socks, they come in a great variety of patterns and colours and are very comfy and last well, ...

...hear you say, what is Topshop, well it is a highstreet shop where you can buy the latest fashionable clothing including ranges from Kate Moss and individual style icons such as Archive, Denim Shop and Glam Rock, not forgetting Topshop iteself. This may not be important to you men, but to us ladies, its the haven of highstreet shopping where all the latest and most fashionable clothing can be found before any other shop.
It has a range of style in ... ...and loud, to individual or even just casual dress. It includes clothing from sizes 6 to 18 and if you look hard enough there may be some size 4's as the size 0 as just been in fashion ( size zero being american 4). The clothes can be in a range of different prices, a Topshop cheap at £12 to £18 for a top or a maxi £40 to £60 for the most individual and more detailed tops. I have to say it is not all cheap, jackets ranging no lower than £100 and bags ...

Advantages: Sophisticated, good quality clothes, good value, very trendy and fashionable Disadvantages: Occasionly very ugly clothes!
In my local shopping centre, Topshop is the first shop i aim towards because i know that there will be something i will buy because of how much they change the products inside so i know i will find something different every visit, and generally because of the things they sell there. Of course there are some occasions where that doesn't happen, but that's usually because i've been so adamant to buy more clothes and i end up visiting the store the ... ...things which i find very ugly, but then again Topshop have to suit other peoples needs too! Nevertheless, it's still one of my favourite high-street clothing stores for many reasons.
This shop is aimed towards female teenagers and young adults which falls under my category, which for starters make's my shopping experience so much easier as i know there is a whole store full of stuff i can explore, unlike big stores such as Marks and Spencer's; it's ...
