Advantages: very well written and easy to follow advice
Disadvantages: at £4.99 it ain't cheap

With windows 7 on the horizion and vista about to be replaced, the vista magazine has changed its name to windows, so it can be used for all current versions of windows such as xp, vista and 7. Each magazine comes with a free cd with lots of goodies on. The magazine is easily readable, and when it gives advice its in simple langauge with illustrations that save confusion. For some of the products they review they try and use their readers which is a nice touch. The magazine itself has a nice feel, a glossy, it also has a price of 4.99, but usually the software on the cd is worth far more than this. The Official Playstation Magazine

Advantages: Loads to read - great value - well laid out
Disadvantages: Nothing good on the demo disks - some sections of the magazine are quite short

This magaine is good value for money only really if you subscribe - as the magazine in the shops cost £5.99 - but it will basically cost half of this if you subscribe. The subscription is spot on - delivered straight to your door 13 times a year. The magazine in itself isn't the best value - i would prefer more pages really or extras - but overall with the magazine and the demo disk its good enough for £5.99 but even better for around half of the price if you subscribe. The reviews in the magazine are of a good quality - but i would prefer them to be slightly longer with a couple more pictures. There review scores are quite fair and I would agree with the majortity - although my opinions are very different sometime - this leads me to think that a user review section could be added. A Book to Treasure...

Advantages: Beautifully presented & illustrated.
Disadvantages: None.

Prior to my sons arrival, hubby & I spent many an evening trying to recollect different nursery rhymes from our childhoods. We soon realised that we could barely remember any in full, if at all! Plus, with him being American & me being British, there seemed to be many differences between the rhymes we were both taught, leading to great debate as to whose version was best...! In order to settle the arguments & fill in the blanks, a nursery rhyme book was called for.... After much deliberating over the choice of nursery rhyme books available on Amazon, I finally decided on the 'Puffin Baby & Toddler Treasury'.
