Hi my name is Sophie, I am a second year Uni student studying law. I'm currently saving to travel around the world, it is the only thing I have ever wanted to do, so cannot wait until I am able to fulfil my dream.

I have had this television for some time now and am extremely pleased with the overall product.
It is a 14" screen silver television perfect for the children's bedroom or a spare room when you haven't got a lot of cash to spare. It's small and fairly light for a television and has handy indents on the top of the television for you to hold it by. It is also a very light tv. The television is designed to be a portable TV but I have never used it in this way. The TV also comes with it's own aerial, as you can imagine it isn't a amazing aerial but has always produced a clear picture, and has always been sufficient for me.
The front is clear and uncomplicated only containing a few vitual buttons. First there is a headphones socket which can be a lifesaver when wanting to watch something late at night without waking the whole house up!! Next is a red light which indicates whether the television is in standby mode or not. Then there is a infrared sensor for reading the remote. This is followed by the power button, which is differentiated from the other buttons because it is indented into the television. Next are two sets of volume and channel buttons. Both increase and decrease buttons. There is also a video and audio socket illustrated by the writing above and the video 2 socket is yellow rimmed and the audio is red rimmed to match the colour of the wire going into that particular socket. These sockets are mainly used for a video camcorder in order to allow easy viewing of what is on the video camcorder. These sockets can also be used to connect a DVD and video player or entertainment system to the TV. I used this TV with my DVD player and video player and also connected my Hi-Fi to the TV and never used these two sockets!! I cannot think of any more appliances you would want to attach to your TV to be honest!! If using the front sockets it goes throught channel EXT2.
On the back of the TV there is the mains lead, an aerial socket and Scart socket which is used for you DVD and video players, entertainment systems and telewest, cable boxes. This socket is channel EXT1.
The TV comes with many extra features for such a small and cheap TV. It comes with automatic tuning, teletext and parental lock.
Automatic Tuning: I am someone who has no idea about televisions or tuning them so this is a god send!! The TV will automatically assign the channels for you!
Teletext: Teletext is an unusual feature to appear with a small television. You access teletext using a button on the remote clearly indicated by a picture above the button. The remote also has red, green, yellow and blue buttons which are used with teletext to access the informtion you need quickly.
Parental lock: This enables you to only allow your child to watch certain programmes, and not be able to change the channel after the child has finished watching. It will also not allow the child to continue watching on the same channel.
The TV also features the normal functions of any normal television. Such as picture colour, language, and sound.
The remote is small and compact. It is clear and uncomplicated and contains all important buttons needed for the television set. With even more important buttons distinguished from others. The power button is oval in shape instead of a circle and is surround by a red outline. The volume and channel control buttons are central to the remote and are larger and set higher than the others.
I have never had any problems with my television and am extremely happy with the picture quality, sound and reliability of the set. The only disadvantage is that there is one scart socket.
