The specifications...
Finished in a matt silver design with a flat screen, this TV looks really modern and wouldnt look out of place in any room...
It has a 15" flat screen, measured diagonally.
There ... ...There is opportunity for a 21 pin Scart lead socket (not supplied - but are available from Argos at a small cost.)
It comes complete with a remote control (with batteries provided).
A loop aerial is also provided.
Teletext is also available with this.
The weight in total is 13kg (with accessories). God knows how I (a tiny 5"4 weighing only 4 times the weight of the box) managed to get it home on the bus!!

The Idea...
Having just started uni I thought I better get a head start on my Christmas shopping this year - early I know, but hey when you realise just how expensive uni really is you gotta get organised - trust me! So I started with the obvious - my fiance Luke, (ashtonluke on ciao - not that i'm publicising him or anything! Heehee! )and I asked him what he wanted this year. He said he'd have a think about it, but as he's a 'boy who likes his toys' I knew the thought process wouldn't take too long, as the 'electronics' section in the Argos catalogue was only fingertips reach away! As I overlooked his browsing, I wasn't surprised to see his eyes resting on the 'Flat Screen TV's'.
The Requirements...
It had to be a portable TV as there isn't sufficient space for anything larger. It had to be silver to match the decor in the room. It had to be a flat screen - as they're of a better quality where the picture's concerned and Luke preferred this type - look back to the reference to the 'Boy who likes his toys'!
The Choice...
Well there were quite a few to choose from, however, I chose to buy from Argos as it was most convenient. I finally came to the decision that I would buy the Toshiba 15V31, and I've got to admit that I'm not the best person to make big decisions so Luke had to be consulted and hence unfortunately he now knows what his Christmas present is!

The cost...
Having researched the cost of flat screen TV's from various companies, this TV, bout from Argos has to be the best for value for money! At 119.99 pounds, the cost, in comparison to other similar products is really low. However, dont make the mistake of thinking that because this TV has a flat screen, that it is also really narrow like a TFT pc monitor. Although the TV isn't bulky looking despite it being the same shape as an average portable TV.
The judgement...
Luke was really pleased when I told him that I'd bought him this for Christmas, however, the final judgement is yet to be seen on Christmas day! Will let you all know what he says!
Conclusion...
Hope you found this a useful review on a flat screen portable TV, I wasn't quite sure what I was getting when I bought it but now after having seen it, I'm really pleased I took the chance!
