Advantages: the big tv that fits in the space of a smaller tv Disadvantages: none as yet

Although it has a 36 inch screen it only takes up the space of a 32 inch. Unlike many other widescreen Tv's it doesn't have the bulky, sometimes ugly frame which makes them so big. This one has a very slim, almost picture frame look about it.
After a demonstration I was sold.
After ... ...shop with a price promise (had got extremely good price on the internet which the shop agreed to beat, eventually getting it for £1260 including delivery and installation. I know this is a lot of money but it is well worth it.
Now for the technical bit!!!
It has a pure flat screen, which reduces distortion, 100Hz flicker free technology which gives you a perfect picture.

The sound is unbelievable, like sitting in a cinema. There is no need to buy a home cinema package as this Tv comes with it all. Dolby digital 5.1 sound - in laymans terms it means it has 6 speakers, a sub whoofer fitted into the rear of the Tv for bass, a front central one, and another four, with extremely long cables to place around the room. We were so impressed with the sound we took our stereo system out and put it into another room, we now play all our audio CD's through the DVD player using the Tv's speaker set up. The power output is a massive 63 watts - when booming out over 6 speakers is amazing.
Everyone who has come into our house has commented on the excellent picture and sound, one having bought a 32 inch tv after us - different make - and left feeling cheated over the model he purchased. Other features include being able to freeze live tv, several picture formats including widescreen and cinema, 100 channels, sleep timer and the list goes on. Even has all the connections in the front of the Tv for games consoles, camcorders etc.
The remote can also be used for your video and DVD players.
This stylish TV comes with a sleek stand/cabinet with two large glass shelves, which easily housed our DVD and video player plus two cable boxes.
If you are looking for a BIG tv with bags of personality then this is for you.
If this one is too big then its smaller sister the 32 inch has all the same features and qualities and only takes up the room of a 28inch.
Right all I need now is a good film and an extra large bag of popcorn.
Advantages: Component In, Two digital Inputs, Original Styling, Inbuilt dobly digital 5.1 Disadvantages: Centre speaker is a bit squeezed. Stand took 1.5 hours to assemble
...Also if you buy a toshiba DVD player you can use the same remote for basic functions such as play and pause. O it also has a freeze shot thingy. Not really useufll as the image is always slightly distorted but great for capturing moments in funny home videos.
Stand?
The stand was a bugger and the instructions did little to help. The thing is the design is of it looking the same alsmost upside down. This made it a bit hard. However, the overall ... ...Box Size?
The Boz was incredibly big and the only reason I'm mentioning this was because we have narrow corridors. So all those will narrow and tight corner beware!
Overall a great TV, unparalled to be honest. O yeah and just CHECK OUT THAT PRICE!!!!!!!!

...the models and shortlisted the Toshiba and Hitachi
After looking at both models in Currys we searched the net for a bargain and found we could buy the Toshiba for £400 less than in a shop, at Unbeatable.com.
Delivery was by courier, (boy I found it hard to help lift the enormous weight up to our lounge)
I unpacked the box, assembled the stand and set the TV in place. The whole thing took me a couple of hours

i cant stand small screen tv's so i looked at some big mutha's. the nicest to look at in the shop was this one. RRP £1999.99 with a little haggling i got the price down to £1600. i paid and delivery was next day.
the tv itself was surprisingly small but the box it came in didnt fit through my front door. opened outdise and bought indoors. all the bits were there, tv, stand, surround speakers. all went together nice and easily. the stand houses my ... ...audio setup all with plenty of room.
i switched the set on and it tuned itself in to all my channels in a few seconds. the picture quality is amazing on tv and on dvds. im not keen on tv speakers so i use it with my home amps.
in short i love it. best buy i made for ages. you wont be dissapointed. ...
