We do have a slight niggle with the tv though, sometimes when you turn it on you just get a blue screen and hear sound, and you have to turn it on and off again to get the picture showing. We absolutely love it, everything about the TV is exacty what we need. The size is perfect, the swivel base is a fantastic feature, it is easy to use and was incredibly easy to set up. My lesser half also uses it with his Xbox and while he found it quite hard to find the right channel to get a HD picture from this, once he had worked it out he found it easy to use each time.
We do have a slight niggle with the tv though, sometimes when you turn it on you just get a blue screen and hear sound, and you have to turn it on and off again to get the picture showing. It has done this since day one and it being a ex display model we couldnt return it. Perhaps it is because its an ex display model, who knows? But it hasnt got "stuck" on the blue screen yet so we are still very happy with it. There also isnt a turn off button, it only goes as far as standby, which isnt very energy saving or "green"!
Advantages: features, styling, usb port, 1080p, 100hz Disadvantages: speakers
The Toshiba 37XV635DB has a lot of features for the price of £550 which in my opinion makes it really good value for money for a branded good looking LCD TV. I like the glossy Toshiba styling and thin frame. This TV has 100hz meaning you get a smooth nice flowing picture and with full hd 1080p & upscaling of freeview and hdmi inputted content this is a great sharp quality TV. The TV has 4 hdmi ports which is more than enough for a blu-ray player, ... ...as with most TVs. Toshiba also tout this as an eco-panel which uses less energy and can be switched off not just left on standby. The Toshiba logo which lights up can also be turned off. Overall a great looking full featured 1080p 100hz TV with nice features like a USB port for a suprisingly good price for a top brand like Toshiba. Summary: great value for money ...
