Advantages Looks good with good picture and sound quality.

Disadvantages Big and bulky at the back.

It's almost 2 1/2 years now since I bought this TV from an online retailer for £899.00,
At the time this was a bargain as it retailed elsewhere at £1000 and over,
and even at the higher price I consider this a value for money buy.

The stand came at an additional cost, I cant remember exactly but it cost around £100,
and when the TV was delivered it came fully assembled on the stand.

The back of the TV is quite bulky and is more suited to be positioned in a corner to hide its bulk, mine sits in the corner of the room where the back cant be seen at all, and honestly the TV looks so slim and good from the front that you would think it was slim all round!

When choosing my TV I wanted one which was easy to use and understand with basic functions,
I didnt want to be bothered with all the technical jargon and a myriad of functions that I probably would'nt use and would only leave me confused, so thats why I chose this one.

This is a 42 inchrear projection TV

Side view.
with 100Hz processing and is also a CRT model (Cathode Ray Tube)
Not exactly sure what CRT means but these models will give better picture and colour quality and a longer life-span than an LCD or Plasma screen,

It comes in a subtle metalic silver colour and has Teletext with fast text,
the remote control is the same silver colour and is very easy to use and understand,

Looking at the front of the TV, there is only one press button for on/off or standby, apart from that the front is flush with no other buttons.
After delivery, setting up was easy enough, once I accessed the on screen menu I was given step by step instructions and found them very easy to follow.

The screen on this TV is massive and really enjoyable to watch, the colours are true crisp and clear with a choice of picture size at a press of the button i.e.........wide, superlive, cinema, 4.9 and 16.9.
there is also a freeze picture function were you can freeze the picture then unfreeze and it carries on from where it left off, useful if you want to go make a cuppa.

The sound quality is superb from the built in speakers with Bass boost and super woofer,
I have my home cinema surround sound connected too and this just makes it awesome when watching movies.
With the big screen and the sound coming from all around it makes a big impact.

At the back there are 3 scart sockets,RF input; video input; stereo input; and headphone jack..... ect........ect.........
I have connected to my TV at this moment ........my surround sound,.... DVD player....Freeview box, and also my playstation 2.

After owning a TV this size it would be difficult to go back to anything smaller and personally I think it was a good investment,
Its expensive looking when really it was a bargain and it has given me and my family a lot of pleasure and so far had no problems,

The negative side to this T.V. though is as I said its bulkiness and weight,
and another thing to consider as with all rear projection TVs
is........

if you are watching from an angle the picture quality starts to deteriorate, but dont let this put you off as it actually sounds worse than it is!
so I would suggest experiencing this type of TV first before buying, apart from that its a quality TV which was awarded Best Buy Home Cinema.

A very sinple to use TV with an easy to use and access menu.....instructions......a recommended buy...........: )

Weighs 52 Kg but is easy to move/slide on wood/laminate flooring with 2 people

Still for sale online for as low as £699.00 with a list of specifications ect..............

Thank you for reading.
