Toshiba Leather Case Carrying case Black

Advantages: Prevents scratches and damage to your laptop
Disadvantages: Quite costly

...I have just brought a laptop to do some word processing at home. It wasn't a very expensive one, but I wanted to take good care of it so it wouldn't get dirty or scratched. When I brought the laptop I asked the shop assistant if they sold any carrying cases and he showed me a couple of them. The first one felt very cheap and didn't feel as if it would last for very long and it also felt that it would rip easy at the seams. So I asked him if there where any more to look at and he told me that there where a few others but they where more expensive. He produced this Toshiba carrying case and I instantly knew from the look of it that it was more substantial and a better quality material. It was £25.99, which was more than I wanted to pay for a case but I knew that if I brought the cheaper one then it wouldn't have lasted as long... Read review

...plastic bag and that was it. It did not state if it was water proof, but I certainly would not take my Laptop outside in heavy rain in this case anyway, so I will just say it is not. I did get a few raindrops on it once taking it into my car though, but I am still saying it is not waterproof. Well anyway, this Case Logic - Laptop carrying case is very nicely designed indeed. It comes in black and is made from a very thick nylon material. It is all very well stitched together and is very sturdy. It is quite stylish and looks good in my opinion. It is easily opened up by two strong metal zips, that glide very easily, around this case also and to my liking. The inside of the entire case is lined with a silver nylon material, that is washable with a damp cloth. It is a good size and will hold up to a 17 inch Laptop and has plenty of room for all... ...First the technical stuff, the case is made of plastic, ethylene-vinyl acetate actually, which is a form of soft thermoplastic, including recycled materials, so you could say you are doing your bit for the environment. The outer covering is hardwearing Nylon. The carry case comes complete with a wrist strap, although personally I would not trust it. It has an improved zip, apparently the old one was prone to jamming. The picture Ciao have put up is of the old model, the new one is very similar, just a little more subtle. These cases are a good idea for keeping dust and scratches at bay, however, it may have been a better idea if the case was fitted with belt loops, so you could carry it on your belt, or a strap like binoculars have, rather than risk it slipping out of your pocket, or even leaving it in the car.
