...Now before i write this review i am not the biggest computer whizz in the world so this is my take on the ToshibaEquium A60-181.
I got this laptop after my old one (acer 7002!) broke. I was happy with my old one, even tho it was not wireless it still had alot of great functions with a 40gb hdd aswell as 256 mb. Any way back to this laptop, It has a very good performance because of it's spec which i'll run through;
It has a great Pentium 4 processor which helps when multi funtioning aswell as when you are serving the net. It also has a 3.2 MHz processor whitch is huge as you know! As far as the memory goes 512 RAM and an inbuilt 1Gb Cache with a 60 Gb hdd perfect for storing documents,music,films and playing games.
The 15" tft screen makes this laptop perfect for watching dvds and as far as the gaming side it also come up top trumps...

...I purchased a used Toshiba Tecra 8000 in a PC magazine about four years ago, and to this day, it continues to work great. It cost about $400, and I think it was worth it.
I needed to only upgrade the battery since it wouldn't hold a charge, but other than that, the laptop works great! I installed Windows 98 on the system, and it works great for multimedia like Flash, movies (MPEG, AVI), and high quality graphics.
When I reinstalled Windows on it, I needed to download graphics support drivers from the Toshiba website to give me higher screen resolutions. The installation was simple, and it worked great.
The RAM in the laptop is pretty good, but it would slow down the operating system from time to time. If I ran a program, it would take forever to load, but a memory allocator program worked to correct it.
This laptop is not heavy...

I have just bought this laptop and its a bargin I does everything you would need a laptop to do for personel use Memory is also a good size for basic use . The other good reasons for buying this it runs very quickly on and of the internet.
