I'd only had one laptop before this, and, for the less computer-friendly out there, i'm going to make do without all the 'Intel Celeron' stuff, because i simply don't understand! All i know is that the laptop is Vista Capable.

I love my laptop. It's very light, it is very thin, and has a very large screen. It has a black keypad, and silver surroundings, with a large monitor and black plastic surroudings. The outer casing is also black, the top of the laptop having a small silver metallic panel with Toshiba's logo on it.
There are two small but potent speakers above the keyboard, and the mousepad is almost central, below the keyboard, with a touchpad, and a left and right mouse button.
There's a small silver on button, which has a big blue light above it - for notification fo when the laptop's on, and there's also buttons below for controlling various media programs - a pause button, a stop button, and also skip button, and a button used for media on the net, which i have never used.

I've noticed over time (and i've only had this thing about 3 months) that the casing scratches easily - and any scratches that do appear are particularly apparent, considering the silver on the laptop.

On use, it is particularly good - the keyboard's keys are perfect, they are not too hard to press, yet not too easy, making the usual laborious strains of word processing slightly easier - added to by the user-friendliness of the mouse, which is quite sensitive, and the buttons are perfectly placed, not too small for those with larger fingers. Around the sides of the laptop, there are a few dials and slots. On the front side, there's a dial for increasing or decreasing volume, and there's a headphone jack, and a n input jack for microphones, along with a slot for inserting varying types of memory card - there's also an infrared port of some sort - which, for some reason, is disabled and does not work.

The left side has a video jack of some sort (something i've only used for projectors, if that helps), and there's also a slot for wifi cards, and an optical input. the other side has a switch for Wifi, the CD slot, which is rewriteable with DVDs also, and 2 USB ports. The back has another 2 USBs, the input for the supplied power lead, and also a phone port.

On turning the Laptop on, i notice, along with everyone else i know with this laptop, that startup is stupidly slow. It takes a good five minutes for laptop to get to the desktop, then there's all the starting up of various anti-virus software and stuff. It takes ages. The battery life is good, it takes ages to run down, about 2 hours of heavy usage (EG music) - and it charges very quickly.

Otherwise, there's little that can be said. The graphics card is excellent, but not good enough for high quality games such as Age Of Empires 3 - and the RAM is average - thus in some cases with alot of programs open, this can take a while. The soundcard is good, not so much for input into recording, it's more the sound it gives out, very good for a small laptop, aided by the SRS surround sound system.

The hard drive is only 60GB, so it is recoomended that the buyer is also to buy a seperate hard drive, for media, etc.

So, overall, and in not too many complicated words, i hope that i have given a good idea of what this laptop is like - i think it's excellent for those on a budget, and in probably best used with office work, not gaming.
