Toshiba have really expanded their Laptop/ notebook range over the last decade. The Equium series represents an affordable option for those wanting a standard laptop without advanced hardware. The Equium range operates moderately with Vista- although slow down can often be a problem. Even with a couple of Gig of Ram and the dual core processor it can often have short moments of fatigue. Initially problems such as these aren't noticable, but after a year or so- when you have a number applications running in the background- then you realise what a difference higher power machines make. The on-board sound card is certainly nothing to get excited about. If you are into your music then don't expect to blast it out.
I would pitch this laptop to students or general application/internet users but not gamers. The on-board graphics have limited pixel shaders which means it won't run the latest games. In fact, by running a compatability check- the laptop passes in every test- except pixel shading graphics. It seems to make this affordable the obvious cuts were made. Overall, a good entry level laptop that will suit most peoples needs.

Well Im using this laptop for 6 months now and I am still satisfies with my purchase. The 15"4 is good enough for me to watch movies although a 17" would be perfect. I think its great that it has a 2 GB memory so I can run Windows Vista as well as XP. The processor is is also enough for normal use with Intels dual core 1.73 GHz. I have just bought this laptop and its a bargin I does everything you would need a laptop to do for personel use Memory is also a good size for basic use . The other good reasons for buying this it runs very quickly on and of the internet.
It also holds a dvd re-writable drive use for downloading films of the internet on to dvd. You can also copy music via the same drive, Also comew with microsoft windows vista uploaded i personally really like ... ...bad reviews in the past, But i feel microsoft have now soted out the problems they were having with it.

GMA X3100, which are solid, but nothing more, so all you heavy gamers might not choose, because of it. So dont expect this machine to be running Call of Duty 4 or similar games.But you definetly get a great design, with elegant lines and a combinationof silver an black.

This has been my trusted little laptop for over 2 years now. I have to say i am very pleased with it, this being my first laptop as i have had desktops in the past. The laptop had great features on the date on the time of realease. I paid £450 for mine in currys. The L10 has built in Wi Fi, 40GB HD( which is 2 small), 512 ram and 15" screen. i have upgraded the ram to 1 gb and has made a big difference. There are a few downsides:
