Advantages: Size, Workmanship, Functionality Disadvantages: Zero support for some old peripherals, crashes car stereo , Bit heavy!
and click 'get album artwork' - this did take a while... but worked! Whilst coverflow looks nice I don't think it adds extra functionality to the IPod... more a space draining quirk! It does look awesome though ;-)
Sound playback is the usual high standard - but this is really down to you, the user - I have all my imported (off CD) music set to apple loss-less. Which will take up more space, but with 160 GIGS to play with... it is not a great deal more! It must be said - the headphones supplied are useless... get some Sennheiser CX300 - the added clarity is noticeable - and you do not need it as loud! The hat trick is that the ear buds stay in my ear when I am working out.
Video playback; to test this I ripped Family Guy from dvd to IPod using the ImToo software package. Quality was good - but KILLS your battery! So not ideal ...

Apple iPod Classic 160GB Silver
The Apple iPod Classic is a great mp3 player. With 160GB of memory you wont have to worry about how much space you've got left ever again. I paid about £220 for my iPod classic and it was well worth it. With the iPod Classic you can browse you music in many different ways. The newest feature to searching for music is the cover flow feature. This is where you can browse all of your albums by the front cover and you simply click on the cover to see the track listing. You can still browse by Song, Artist, Album and most played. The video feature is excellent. You can hold up to 200 hours of video, all on your iPod Classic. I must say that I am very impressed with the video quality. It's just like watching a TV but with a smaller screen. You can download all of your favourite TV shows straight from ...
Apple iPod Classic 160GB
The iPod Classic is the best once so far with many features. There is not much you can't do on your iPod Classic and with 160GB of memory you cant go wrong. When you used to have the 2 GB iPod Nano you was always worrying about how much space you had left but now everything is going to change. The iPod Classic is very durable and is practically unbreakable.
The battery life on the iPod Classic is excellent. You can listen to music for up to 40 hours and you can watch videos for up to 7 hours. The memory is the best thing with the iPod Classic. You can hold up to 40,000 songs or 200 hours of video. It's just like having your whole music and video collection in your pocket. I paid about £200 for my iPod Classic and it was without a doubt well worth it.
