Had this hard drive fitted in my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo A1630 from new. After 13 months it just died on me. There were no problems leading up to this an no chance to back up data (was between back ups). It was not subject to any knocks before the failure occured - the laptop just sits on my desk. Before the failure I was unaware of the one year warranty and this is obviously very disappointing as not only have I lost data, but I've also had to pay out for a new drive. Have now replaced with a Seagate drive that comes with a 5 year warranty - ok it doesn't prove that it won't fail but at least I won't have to pay out more money!
