Toshiba Equium e8050 C 1.2 GHz

Advantages: +the look +Toshiba +Functions +Easy to use
Disadvantages: -Battery deterioration -occasional shut downs

...I got this laptop over three years ago and, although the battery does not last more than 45 minutes i is a great, handy computer. I have had a few problems in the past but luckily had a 5 year guarentee on it. Toshiba have been great including very fast action in repairing it and it was quickly returned at no extra cost. The Toshiba Equium is reliable (when installed with a trusty anti-virus) and has all the features a person could need. My version does not have a built in internet modem but there is a slot for an external one or a USB modem can be connected to any of its 3 USB ports. A great buy and I would recommend it to anyone, if not this model, then definatley try using a Toshiba.... Read review

...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place... Advantages: Lightweight & compact
Disadvantages: Low battery life, Rubbish sound, Low Ram

...a signal. the L20 is not Bluetooth enabled but works fine after adding a Dongle and downloading the appropriate software. I have had the Laptop now some six months and already I require a new screen which Toshiba have agreed to come and collect and deliver back once repaired this is due to the screen flickering and causing large random colour changes. I would not recommend this laptop to buyers as it doesn't seem as rugged as I thought it would be and would recommend you pay that bit extra and go for a more top end Laptop. I do recommend though the Toshiba Service & support whom when I contacted responded emmediatly.... Read review
