The inside boasts a spectacular looking shiny black finish which will get grubby with finger marks. The standard keyboard has two speakers either side which are controlled by an orginal metallic wheel which when turned, switches on some rather fancy volume lights just below the keyboard. To the left of the laptop, there is a smal panel just below the keyboard which hosts yet more lights indicting the system status such as hard drive use, power..etc The front of the laptop has a rather nifty looking DVD multi drive which writes and reads a great host of DVDs, so there is no need to worry about whether you DVD or CD will play. You simply slide the CD into the drive. Around the back there is a lock socket so you can secure your laptop to the desk.
The back: S-video out port. This means you can transfer PAL or SECAM data to external devices such as a television. D-video out port. This is so you can connect an external DVD player, video player/recorder or tv and satellite reciever. 2 USB ports which allow you to connect external devices such as a mouse, keyboard, scanner, video camera, PSP...etc Ethernet LAN port to allow wired connections to a network. S-video in port so you can import data from your video camera.
The sides: (left) A modem jack for attatching the laptop to company networks or the internet. Another USB port for external devices. A microphone and headphone jack.
The sides:(right) A firewire port to rapadily transfer files between the laptop and devices such as a video camera. A PC card slot to maximise the laptops capabilities. Its commonly used to insert Wireless cards but this laptop has one built.

~~~One final note~~~ This laptop has truely stunning looks. It is a very advanced piece of kit which is more then enough for most users. The TV tuner is a great part of the laptop which isn't avalible on most other laptops.

The only draw back to this laptop is its size and weight, but you can't cram as much as Toshiba have into a laptop and it still be light. I would rather have a heavy laptop as have it do all this does than a Vaio for example which doesn't do half as much.
If you are a gamer or designer get this laptop, if you are not then a lot of its features you probably won't need or use.

Advantages: Truely well equiped - TV tuner, DVD burner, Superb screen, twin hard drives Disadvantages: Heavy. Also only lasts about 1hr on the battery.
I brought this laptop to replace our aging desktop, and what can I say about it but WOW!
The design of the laptop is like nothing I've seen before, it's well built, looks fantastic and the controls are all in the right place... something that can't be said for other laptops I've used!
The screen is the main selling point, it's superb. Truely excellent to be honest. The picture is clear and crisp and the brightness levels mean that it can be seen ... ...DVD burner, twin hard drives, surround sound (built into the unit) and you end up with a truely stunning piece of kit. Everyone who sees it is impressed and wants one!
However, does this have a downside? Well yes, don;t all of these things?
To make it simply, it's more of a desktop than a laptop. The weight of the unit and it's shear size make it difficult to move around and the battery life tends to be little more than an hour.
