Toshiba SD-360E-S-TE

I bought this for around £50 so I was not expecting too much from it. I wanted to see what HDMI quality was all about as the price of HD DVD players is just plain crazy at the moment. Build quality of the unit is poor, it feels very tacky and lightweight, almost like the case is empty. When you push any of the buttons on the front panel the player moves - thats how light the thing is. I have recently purchased my own toshiba DVD player which is supposedly meant to increase the quality of a normal DVD to the standard of a HDDVD. So if it does this why buy the more expensive HD dvd players which will play HD dvds when you can buy a dvd player which increases quality to the same standard. You are probably thinking this is a great idea and pretty cheap at the same time. Well you can buy it if you want to but you must no the problems with it. This DVD player is fantastic, the picture quality is perfect and not only that but it will play just about any format you want and with the imputing of a simple code it can be made multi region. This cost me £50 from Ebay and believe me it was worth every penny. It also has the ability to remember exactly where you left off your last film, even if you take that dvd out and play another, when you put it back it, it will still know to start from where you left off.
