The SD-L802B drive reads HD-DVD-R/-RW discs and can read and write to both DVD and CD Discs. HD-DVD discs are capable of storing several times more data than DVDs and are being positioned as the successor to DVD for storage of high-definition movies. With HD-DVD, viewers can look forward to great resolution, dynamic contrast and vivid colors that bring the pleasure of the cinema into the home. As the demand for notebooks that are also able to handle high definition video is now emerging, the SD-L802B drive has been expressly designed to bring the HD DVD experience to mobile notebook PCs whilst providing the write functions found in Super-Multi DVD Writers.
