I got this portable DVD player after my mate suggested it. I like to travel so having some entertainment makes travelling more exciting. My mate had hers for Christmas and said that it was the best thing she got. I like to browse through the stuff on Ebay and often like to pick up a bargain. This portable DVD player was a great buy at only £50.
I chose the Toshiba DVD player as I have heard some great things about the company. I thought that a product supplied by a reputable company would be sure to provide hours of entertainment and it certainly has.
It looks good and is not too heavy which is obviously very good when you are carrying it around. The screen is 7 inches wide which makes for good viewing; I could easily see the screen. I did like the silver appearance as it made it look quite stylish and modern.
It was easy to set up and the instructions were very easy to read and follow. I liked the remote control as it made skipping the DVD and changing the volume easy. I rarely needed to change the volume as the loudest setting was still quite low. I like to store my holiday snaps on disk and the remote control made viewing these pictures a lot easier. I could also rotate the pictures. The screen resolution is 480 x 234 which is standard for most items such as this with a 7" screen such as those digital picture frames.
The DVD player is compatible with most formats such as CD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD-R, CD-RW. I can also view JPEG and DivX files. This is great as it means I do not have to worry about which CDs to buy to be compatible with my DVD player.
The sound quality is good with headphones in (there is a dual headphone jack for two people to watch the DVD player) but is a little poor on its own. I tend to use battery powered speakers to give it that extra boost. Overall for such a cheap item the DVD player is great.
The screen is great quality. I enjoy viewing my pictures as they look very good. Films are also very good. The colour and resolution are great so the overall picture appears clear. Viewing films on this DVD player is real pleasure and it certainly makes travelling more exciting.
The DVD comes with Carry bag adjustable for car headrest so that it can be placed on the back of a car headrest and watched in the car. It comes complete with headphones, Mains adapter, Lithium ion Battery, Car cigarette lighter adapter and an AV cable. As I have already mentioned I had a small remote control provided.
He DVD player can also be connected up to the television with eth AV cable and watched through the television enhancing the sound quality greatly.
Since buying on Ebay I have seen this DVD player sell for roughly £90 on Pixmania and Amazon. I have also seen this in my local electrical shop for £100 so I think I got a rather good deal off Ebay.
