Toshiba SD P 2800

Advantages: Stylish looks. Great pictures clear and crisp. Great sound.
Disadvantages: Disc movement quite noisy.

...This Toshiba DVD player is quite a cheap player at R.R.P £279.99. The player has some quality features and can play DVD's from region 2 (i.e. the UK). Some great features such as the zoom are great!! The sounds are clear and crisp with a good sound system. However the actual DVD player can be quite noisy with the disc movement quite clearly heard. Has all the features of other DVD players and looks the part in silver. Worth a buy? Yeah!! I bought the toshiba for its looks and its price. There maybe cheaper alteratives but this player should fit most peoples price ranges and looks stylish and does the job.... Read review

...I purchased this player in november and have had no problems with it. With the recent price drops to as low as £120 its great value, as you get two titles in the box, 300 and The Bourne Supremacy. If you purchase the player before the end of January 2008 you can send away for 5 free titles out of a choice of 13 titles. Which means you get a high quality HD HVD and excellent SD disk upscaler for a really good price. The player is capable of output at 1080p 24 frames per second if you HD display is capable of playing. If the format war does go the other way and the winning side is blu ray you will still have a superb player capable of excellent SD upscaling and with 7 free disks this player is a steal. Toshiba keep the player up-to-date via the built in ethernet connector and the internet or if you dont want to update it via ethernet... Read review

...I am very happy with my Toshiba. At first I had a samsung 709 which gave me lots of problems, the final straw was when i had to take it back for another upgrade, so I took it back and had it changed for a Toshiba and I have never had a problem since. The Toshiba has a great picture and the sound is excellent. It can be chipped to play R1 ( One already done is on sale at Richard Sounds)and I have never had a problem Disc. BUY ONE... Read review
