...I've owned a 4060xcdt laptop for almost two years now, bought second hand from a friend of a friend. Although it may not be the fastest, most powerful machine available (well they don't even make it anymore), it most definitely got me through what I had to do.
Playing the latest games is a definite no-no, but games from a few years ago work great. Rollercoaster Tycoon 2, Zoo Tycoon, Cossacks are just a few of the brilliant titles that work great on this laptop.
Luckily, when I received this laptop, it had already been upgraded, and when it recently broke down, they repaired it and upgraded it further. So the quite dismal 64mb of RAM preinstalled with the system, has rised to 128mb (fine for web browsing, office applications), and the hard drive, from 4.3GB to 5.99GB.

Advantages: Tough, good keyboard, good screen Disadvantages: Slow now
...Toshes have figured more and more lately in reviews, and seem to have their fair share of successes. I bought this as a business venture and have never regretted it. That isn't to say it hasn't gone wrong, but listening to others with other makes of laptop I would say that I have had the better deal on average.
At the time of buying it was quite well specified, with a 333MHz motor, 4 GB HD, CDROM, 128 MB RAM, USB socket, internal modem, etc. Sounds naff now, I know, but it was a good machine then, and did, and still does, what I wanted. Would I buy again from Toshiba? No question. So what was/is the deal?
The three things I was concerned about were reliability, a good keyboard, and a good screen, and on those things the machine has delivered. It has been used almost every day for over four years, goes with me practically...

The operating system we get is Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium which is some what hard to adopt for new user but after some day it will be easy.
It also have Dual layer DVD drive we can play movies in that and it is very fast and easy to use.
we also get some free stuff also with laptop like Google Earth,McAfee Internet Security Suite 2008 (30 days subscription),Google PicasaToshiba DVD Player, Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student Edition (Trial) and many more these are some of the important ones
