You can buy this laptop with a range of processors and sizes of harddrive so you can choose the one which suits you best. The display is actually very good but the battery life could have been improved. On my model it will last for a maximum of 2.5 hours on its lowest power setting.

You can buy this laptop with a range of processors and sizes of harddrive so you can choose the one which suits you best. Overall, this laptop is reasonable at most things but not excellent in any of them. I also own a hp pavillion dv6500 which i bought for £50 more (over 2 years ago) and it is so much better (faster/easier to use/more enjoyable to use). I think the L500 has been designed to be a basic laptop for people who are about to buy their first laptop and will have to get used to using one as it is so easy to use. So if you are looking for a more specialised laptop, the L500 is not for you.

You may have seen my review for the TOSHIBASatellite Pro L10 only a few months back. It was a nice little laptop for £500, but it did not have the kind of power I craved for the latest gaming and multimedia applications. This is what I replaced it with..........the DELL XPS M170 Gaming Laptop.
