Toshiba off the buyers of this product a one year warranty. I would however recommend that you take out a 3 or 5 year grantee. It is worth the extra expense for the peace of mind.
NOTE – repairs for laptops are more costly than repairs for desktops
Only fault I have with this product is the poor battery lift that it offers If you luck you will get about 1hr 30mins of work out of it if you have it ... ...such as lowering brightness of screen and also turning off wi-fi ect. It normal takes around about an hour to fully charge up the battery. However there are additional power packs that can bought to solve this problem.
One other thing is that the design of the caseing is not the most attravie shape or colouring.

I use this laptop in Uni most days. I carry it in my rucksack one the train and walk in. I had it for two years I can say that it is very versatile and have had no problems with breaking the casing ect.
The Laptop comes with it own built in support to acess this you need to be conected to the internet. this is very good and a fast way of sorting out any problems.
The built in mouse is hard to use at first but after a period of time it become second nature. However it has a tenancy to move the curser about when you are not using it which is annoying.
The laptop has a 15” screen I really like this as I use it to watch DVD when im travelling. It great and is a good way to kill journey time

...The standard warranty from Toshiba is 1 year, so an upgrade to 3 or even 5 years is highly recommended as laptops are otoriously expensive to repair otherwise. Not that I expect anything to happen to mine - it's too well built for that, but it's better to be safe than sorry isn't it?
The battery issue is the reason why I have not awarded this product five stars, but despite this I cannot recommended highly enough. ...

...years (since i came) buying toshiba laptops for our staff who are out and about quite often. A couple of years ago, I wanted to buy a number of top spec Laptops but wasn't allowed to by the man with the cash, so i had to drop down the ladder a little bit.
I went for 4 Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100s. They seemed ok, and for the price were pretty good value for money. For the first few weeks everything ran smoothly for the people with the laptops.
As ... ...their day had been and gone.
I have since spoke to friends who do similar jobs and most of them are stopping using Satellite Pros. I have moved not just off satellite pros but off of Toshiba all together and we are currently having a succesful run with Sony's. ...
