This is a very robust and impressive laptop from Toshiba. It offers its users a wide selection of features. This lap is perfectly adequate for all my need and for my needs there is nothing else with the RAM, speed ect that I feel could be improved for my uses. I does more than enough for my needs as a student.
KEY FEATURES The laptop has; 30 GB hard drive 265 MB of RAM Pentium 4 1.7Gigahertz Processor CD/DVD Drive Speakers Modem LAN Connection Bluetooth Built in Radio card (WI-FI transmitter/receiver) Infra-red Port TV-out connector external monitor socket 2 USB Ports Floppy Disk drive (external through USB port)
I use this laptop in Uni most days. I carry it in my rucksack one the train and walk in. I had it for two years I can say that it is very versatile and have had no problems with breaking the casing ect.
The Laptop comes with it own built in support to acess this you need to be conected to the internet. this is very good and a fast way of sorting out any problems.
The built in mouse is hard to use at first but after a period of time it become second nature. However it has a tenancy to move the curser about when you are not using it which is annoying.
The laptop has a 15” screen I really like this as I use it to watch DVD when im travelling. It great and is a good way to kill journey time
Toshiba off the buyers of this product a one year warranty. I would however recommend that you take out a 3 or 5 year grantee. It is worth the extra expense for the peace of mind. NOTE – repairs for laptops are more costly than repairs for desktops
Only fault I have with this product is the poor battery lift that it offers If you luck you will get about 1hr 30mins of work out of it if you have it at full speed. However there are ways of saving power such as lowering brightness of screen and also turning off wi-fi ect. It normal takes around about an hour to fully charge up the battery. However there are additional power packs that can bought to solve this problem.
One other thing is that the design of the caseing is not the most attravie shape or colouring.
To conclude I would recommend this lap top to every one nut IT specialist. The reason for this is that this is getting on about and there will be better products on offer. If you are considering getting this laptop, buy the model with the built in DVD writer.
This Replacement Laptop AC Power Adapter/Charger for your laptop enables you to operate ... more
your notebook or charge the battery from electrical power outlets. If you are running your computer on AC power with a battery installed, the adapter charges the battery (if needed) and maintains its charge. When the system is off, the AC adapter will charge the battery and then maintain its charge.
