I have had this computer for about a year now, i bought it to take to uni with me. I have found it has a tendency to be very slow, i do not seem to have as much memry as it claimed to have when i bought it. i was supposed to have 256, but only seems to have 190. i dont know if this is a problem with what the computer is registering, or whether it is a problem many of this make have. It takes a very long time to start up, but when it gets there it is a good laptop, it eventually speeds up if you leave it for a while to sort itself out. it is a widescreen, which is goo for watching films. The volume is really good, a lot better compared to many of my friends laptops. The picture quality on the screen is good. But as this is no longer a top of the range lap top, if you want super speedy, amazing graphics and lots of memory this may not be the model for you. Toshiba Satellite Pro A100-830 I aquired one of these laptops as a Christmas present, and I was presently suprised at how fast this laptop was! It was incredibley easy to set up and I had finished the general setup and was downloading the updates within half an hour of opening the box!

The functionality of this product is better than I thought. The keys on the keyboard are properly placed and easier to type.
Screen size is around 15.4 inch, and its non-reflective which makes it easier to look at even in broad day light. Even though it has 1GB Ram memory, and Intel core 2 Due 1.6 GHz Processor, it tends to slow down or freeze up some time. The hard drive is 80 GB and can get filled quite quickly as i have noticed but it all depends ...

I have had this laptop for 4 months now. I bought it as a budget laptop to use mainly for the internet and word processing.
It was very easy to set up and I did not have any problems getting onto the internet via broadband. It boots up quickly and has not had 'the blue screen of death' once. I now have Itunes on here too and the sound that it produces is good enough for personal listening. I have tranferred files from various sources, bluetooth, ... ...is quick enough for my purposes.
It looks stylish and compact, it is not the biggest screen in the world but it suits me for my purposes fine. It has a silver keybloard surround and black keys. Scratch pad to move the mouse and big keys for clicking below it. I have only played SIMS on here and in terms of the graphics, it is wholly suitable for this. I am not into playing games so can't comment much on this usage.
Battery life is average for this ...

Generally a great all rounder. The wide screen HD TFT display is clear & crisp with a soft matt finish to minimise screen glare. The A100 is fully loaded with WIFi, Bluetooth, 4 usb ports & boasts quality harman/kardon built in speakers.
All Hardware is backed up by a great host of top end programs to really get the best out of your projects....
Toshiba have supplied a host of additional system tools to improve the performace & life of this great laptop/note book.
So far the A100 has turned out to be the best pc/laptop ive used & generally does not dissapoint.....
