...I love my Toshiba for simplicity and light design. There aren't any unuseful things here.
However, as from Toshiba I expected more hi-tech and more original ideas in design. No Microsoft Office in it - cruel! All hardware is less reliable, than it is imagined. Lots of bugs, although not very influential ones.
I like keypad a lot - very comfortbale, easy to adopt and soft. Typing with silence, less mistakes.
Could be faster, but it spreading kind of noises now, so I understand the manufacturer - it it were faster, it will buzzed too much!
Toshiba is the example of really "portable" computer - light if comfortably packaged (Not as 5 kg supermodern HP).
If you get used to it quickly, it will really become your friend. And friends are forgiven for mistakes....

...I recently started a new job and was provided with a very smart looking Toshiba Tecra A8 laptop. I was pleasently surprised with the choice work had made. Toshiba laptops have a history of quality laptops and this is no different. The A8 comes with a CoreDuo processor with each processor clocking in at 1.66GHz, providing in total over 3.2GHz, this along with 512 MB RAM +128 MB RAM Intel onboard graphics. Also included is a CD Re-Writer and DVD drive (allowing me to watch DVD's while traveling between various sites).
The only major problems I have had with the system is that the system was unstable when first installed, however, the Toshiba Support Website has a BIOS update that corrects the problem and allows you to get the maximum performance out.
I would seriously consider buying this model (If work hadn't provided)....

This is definately a budget machine which is a perfect desktop replacement with a sleek design and attractive display that would appeal.
Pros: Broad, bright display; comfortable keyboard, new measures that Toshiba has taken to insure quality and the look
Cons: Unimpressive battery life; glossy screen finish produces reflections;
Verdict: The inexpensive ToshibaSatelliteProA210-1B1 laptop offers enough features and performance oomph for basic business tasks, but its AMD processor may disappoint hard-core multitaskers. Does not over warm up so thats good news for travellers like myself. Is very good value for money, looking at prices of different stores like Technoworld (by now you should all know it is my favourite...
