The Toshiba brand has always been noted with mass gratitude for solid and robust piece-of-art laptops and particularity, the Satellite Pro A200 is not an odd exception, not a disappointment.
The Satellite Pro offers Intel new processor technology as far as concerned. This advantage gives the user open options for use of softwares and applications compatible with the new technology of duo-core. Still the duo-core processors are robust, at least 1.5GHZ that reach 3.0GHZ (TSP has 1.73GHz Core 2 Duo CPU), with twos HEARTS as the two cores! The processor is relaxed with the 1GB of 667MHz DDR2 memory (better than DDR1). all though, it's not advised for windows vista. Vista requires 2GB. It still represents good value for what's in the box.
The Graphical display and the adapters are very satisfying, sometimes luxurious, capable of running heavy applications, certainly video games with notable Nvidia (NVIDIA's GeForce G7300 card, a step above Intel's own integrated product-- still, the alternation option is always available. It's not strictly a gaming PC, but you shouldn't have any trouble running less demanding games from the last few years on it This above description overtakes us to the demanded speed of the mass community of netziens and office users. This notebook has its Toshiba manufactured hard disk, well known for being solid and long life. The design of coated screen is classic and gives a great look with the new windows vista interface. The touchpad is just a tad too small given all the unutilised space above the keyboard where the speakers and quick launch buttons live.
The left hand side of the chassis houses your video options with VGA and S-Video out, Ethernet port, two USB ports, a 4-pin FireWire connector and Express Card slot. The right has an additional two USB ports and the DVD burner optical drive The overall design is acceptable.
As for performance, it offers solid day-to-day functionality, and would suit office productivity applications and play on the side.
