Advantages Advantages Good looking, good value for money, great quality and speed!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Mine came with the 160 gig hard drive with a partition.

Look & Feel This laptop looks really good and having owned this laptop for close to a year now, using it for hours on end near enough daily I can say that it will keep looking this good. Its trackpad also feels quite good and of a high quality, as does the rest of the whole laptop. Speed & Functionality This laptop runs great; it usually comes with a copy of windows vista installed and the two work almost perfectly hand in hand. I actually find that often this laptop out speeds my home pc. The processor is very powerful and very stable too and so is the graphics card, even though it won’t run ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, efficient, simple to use, excellent brand

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Appearance

Being a student, I required a cheap and reliable laptop and the Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-153 has turned out to be nothing less. I previously owned a sony vaio, thinking I required a high spec laptop, but I managed to spill water on it and it went bust within its first month, and the damage wasnt covered by its guarantee! This toshiba has yet to let me down, I have had it for over 3 months, filled with music and documents and it has not slowed at all, fulfilling all my needs. The large 120Gb memory has proved to be more than enough and but I would consider increasing the 1Gb ram if the laptop ... more

    Advantages Advantages Easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slow to start up

Ok, let me just point out to you people that I am not a computer boff. Nor am I fantastically knowledgable about the technicalities of computing. I feel that these things mean that I am able to give a review on this product which is understandable to my fellow computer illiterates. I have found that this laptop is easy to use, all of the programmes work well and the 'on' button does exactly what it is supposed to, however, the time that it takes for the laptop to actually wake up and be suitable for use varies depending on two major factors: the amount of information on the laptop, and whether ... more

    Advantages Advantages Price,

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Features

This laptop is set at an amazing price!it is a great entry laptop for anyone. the hard drive is a decent size however, if you are the type that downloads movies you might want to get your self an external hard drive. the 1GB of ram is standard there's days an is ok however if running vista it can make multi tasking a little harsh on the speed. this laptop has 2 RAM slots allowing it to be upgraded to 2GB, however the current ram cards are 2x 512Mb cards meaning that you will have to get rid of them an replace them with 2x1GB cards if i wish to upgrade that much, it is still possible to upgrade ... more

    Advantages Advantages excellent memory

Disadvantages Disadvantages terrible after sales care

I bought the toshiba L300 satellite just under a year ago as a christmas present for my teenager for GCSE coursework, and the usual msn, facebook stuff. For the most part the laptop was great, and then the problems started the mouse pad stopped working, the laptop kept knocking itself off. I sent the laptop back under warranty, the laptop was returned within the week with battery pack changed and apparently no other faults found which we found hard to believe, as the mouse was still only working intermittently and the laptop was still knocking off. So i dont rate the checks made on the laptop ... more
