Generally a great all rounder. The wide screen HD TFT display is clear & crisp with a soft matt finish to minimise screen glare. The A100 is fully loaded with WIFi, Bluetooth, 4 usb ports & boasts quality harman/kardon built in speakers.
All Hardware is backed up by a great host of top end programs to really get the best out of your projects....
Toshiba have supplied a host of additional system tools to improve the performace & life of this great laptop/note book.
So far the A100 has turned out to be the best pc/laptop ive used & generally does not dissapoint.....
Overall i give the Toshiba A100 Satellite Pro a 94% rating!...

Advantages: Orange, beatifull, slim, FANTASTIC!!! Disadvantages: No one!
...I work as IT technical and see a lot of laptops every day, i have to say that i like the beatifull laptops, and Toshiba makes the difference with this once.
You can see it in orange color, a TFT of 17" clear, with a beatifull surface.
The keyboard like others Toshiba is correct, i like the sesibility of the keys, and the durability of these.
Toshiba provides a software preinstalled to configure all the wired, wifi, wireless connections, and this can make very easy for the user to setup a wireless connection or a lan connection.
The so provided is Windows XP professional, and functions correctly, the speed is very good, and no sound when you are working.
The durability of Toshibas Laptops is exceptional, in our enterprise we have a lot of toshiba laptops and there is no problem with....

...I recantly got lent a ToshibaSatellite 410CS from a friand who wanted me to install Windows XP on it for him and his wife, I explained to him that Windows XP seemed to be a bit slower than windows ME, on my home made PC 1GHz.
He still wanted the upgrade, so after backing up his documents and faverites, I formated the hard disk from a floppy disk, inserted the Windows XP CD and ran the setup program.
All went 100% OK including graphics drivers and sound drivers from the Windows XP CD.
I then went about setting all the screen and internet settings that my friend wanted, well it was a joy to use, it did not seem any slower and everything worked as it should....

For a low cost laptop it defiantely has all the features you would need.
