►►► Why should I buy a DLP projector and especialy Toshiba TDP ET20

There comes a time when your friend are just multiplying and the bedroom or the living room is just too small to ensure a comfortable view at your 19/21 inch monitors and so on.What can be done?! This product enters in action; what could be nicer than being in the courtyard with your large number of friends and watching a movie or a HDTV video while the barbecue is almost ready just 5 meters away ☺. If it rains there's still hope, just take the projector into the living room but just make sure is a double one:). So, do you or do you not need a projector now ?!
Why should I buy Toshiba TDP ET20, because is a 3 in 1 musketeer, a DVD player, an audio system and an....I forgot ....a yes a DLP projector. The functions are great the design is great, everything is great, but enough of this just read the review bellow!

►►►The product and package

It wasn't so hard to carry the projector home at 5 kg but it was so difficult to take it back to the store (I take this product from a hardware store just to review him). This is really a multimedia product, a top media center because it includes a DVD player, an audio system and A DLP projector and and all of this functions are provided at top quality. The lens disposal to the interior really gives a special design note to the product.

►►►The specs (the 3 musketeers).

For such a complete product that includes 3 Built-in Devices:projector, DVD player, subwoofer and 5 speakers and is very compact: width: 34.4 cm, depth: 32.2 cm, height: 15.5 cm and weight: 4.8 kg. I've certainly saw only single function projectors much more heavier than this one. The native resolution is 854 x 480 and can reach 1280 x 1024 in extended mode. The optimal projected image size varies from 0.65 m to 2.9 m WOW, just try to find and move an 2.9 m monitor. and the projection distance varies from 0.2 m to 1.6 m I was really impressed also by the keystone correction controls both vertically(+/- 40%) and also horizontally (+/- 30%)
♦ The menu separate the part of projection configuration by the part of the DVD configuration a detail very helpful detail I think

►►►Performance (resolution,colors) and picture quality.

The native resolution 854x480 (16:9 format) and the terrific luminosity of 1100 ANSI lumens describe the perfect capabilities of this product. The projector displays great reproduction of color and perfect luminosity both on the wall :) and also on a Portable LCD DLP Projector Screen. The image quality is a little better on the projector screen but the wall has the size advantage and is also free:). I was most impressed by the large viewing diagonal that the projector displays from a short distance, thanks to it's wide angle lens.

►►►Looks and build quality.

The building quality is exceptional, the black color looks great, the finish is perfect and the product is small and glossy. Nice design.
The lens disposal to the interior really gives a special design plus and also the lens are better protected to dust or mechanical deteriorations.

►►►Connectivity.

All the connectors of this projectors are located on the front panel of the device. The connectors are so many, basically you can connect almost everything you need. The front panel with the connectors can be masked when needing. The connectors are:
▬ Analogue Video Format: NTSC, SECAM, PAL
▬ Analogue video Signal: RGB, S-Video, composite video, component video
Digital Video Standard: High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)
▬ Speaker(s): 1 x center channel, 2 x right / left channel ,2 x right / left rear channel and 1 x subwoofer

♦ A remote is included and has every function that you really need or not.

►►►Power consumption

It's a little high for a media product but lower than similar projectors on the market. Also keeping in mind that this product is not meant for 24 hours/24 hours usage, but only for limited amount of time. Also the power usage depends on the function used at the time. While used as an DVD player or as an audio system it draws much less power compared to a session of digital projection.
The Bulb( special light incandescent lamp) type: 230 Watt and has a life cycle:of 2000 hour(s) in normal mode and 3000 hour in economical mode.

►►►Price and availability

I didn't buy the product, is somehow expensive for my budget but I definitely recommend it to everyone that has the right space and the sum of money needed. Looking at the features and the performance the price requested which varies from £ 720.00 on Amazon Marketplace and £ 796.00 on PIXmania is quite perfect and can be found in a large number of stores.

◄◄◄ About the DLP technology used◄◄◄

Digital Light Processing (DLP) is a technology used in projectors and video projectors. It was originally developed at Texas Instruments, in 1987 by Dr. Larry Hornbeck. Most of the modern movie theaters are based on this technology and the quality is just great.
One application is DLP front projectors (small standalone projection units). DLP, along with LCD and LCoS are the current display technologies behind rear-projection television, having supplanted CRT projectors. These rear-projection technologies compete against LCD and Plasma flat panel displays in the HDTV market.
In DLP projectors, the image is created by microscopically small mirrors laid out in a matrix on a semiconductor chip, known as a Digital Micromirror Device (DMD). Each mirror represents one or more pixels in the projected image. The number of mirrors corresponds to the resolution of the projected image (often half as many mirrors as the advertised resolution due to wobulation) 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x720, and 1920x1080 (HDTV) matrices are some common DMD sizes. These mirrors can be repositioned rapidly to reflect light either through the lens or on to a heatsink (called a light dump in Barco terminology).Rapidly toggling the mirror between these two orientations (essentially on and off) produces grayscales, controlled by the ratio of on time to off time...

♫♫♫ Conclusion ♫♫♫:

Enjoy the movies at cinema quality in your own courtyard or on a large living room.Top product, I really enjoyed it.
