Featuring high quality print resolution of 203 dpi (8 dots/mm) and print speeds of up to 3 inches/second (76.2 mm/sec.) the TEC B-443 is a compact printer capable of printing labels and tags in both direct thermal and thermal transfer modes. Its compact size makes it ideal in situations where space is limited. The B-443 is a highly versatile, compact and lightweight desktop printer. Loading media into the B-443 is easy - it simply 'drops in'. For the majority of work media is loaded internally, but an external label roll holder is available when larger label reels are used. Whether printing text, graphics, barcodes or 2D codes (including DataMatrix, Maxicode, and PDF 417) the B-443 works reliably at a print speed of up to 3" per second. Versatility is enhanced through standard options, which include a cutter unit, expandable flash memory and stand-alone keyboard. Manufactured and inspected to meet ISO 9000/CE standards, the B-443's quality and reliability is assured.

Function
The notebook works quite well with wireless internet and doesn't cut off often as I have found with wi-fi on some other laptops.
It also has an impressive battery life, in a recent car journey, I found it lasted about 3 and 3/4 hours, easily enough time for all of the film I was watching as well as some of another.
It is available in two versions, Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP Home., but the Linux has 512Mb of RAM and an 80Gb hard disk, the Windows one has 1Gb of RAM and a 120Gb drive. I personally own the windows version, since I know more about the operating system and prefer the high memory levels.
The rest of it's specifications are pretty average for a note book and it runs as such.

Basically the laptop is an average notebook computer for general use. The processor and drive capabilities are nothing special, but admirable for the price that you pay.
