Manufacturer's product description

Imagine an ultra-bright projector as small and light as your notebook computer. Toshiba did. If you want advanced performance in an ultra-compact, ultra-light package, look no further than this lean machine. At a full 1, 300 ANSI lumens bright, and less than 4 kg light, this is a real road warrior weapon. Need more ammunition? Step up to the TLP 471 with its built-in document camera. Not only does it project "live" objects and documents in very high resolution, but the camera head and arm are adjustable to any position - even use it for videoconferencing. Imagine that! The TLP 470 and TLP 471 use three active-matrix LCD panels with resolutions of 832 x 624 to create projected images with outstanding brilliance and sharpness. The 16.7-million-color palette allows for faithful color reproduction in all types of images, from bold computer graphics to subtle photographic images. For a consistent, high-quality picture, a built-in gradation calibration circuit automatically compensates for voltage variations in the local power source. The TLP 471 features an adjustable document camera that allows the unit to function as an overhead projector - yet projects opaque documents and 3-dimensional samples! The TLP 470 and TLP 471 accept both PC and video input and allow you to switch from one to the other during a presentation with a touch on the wireless remote. These models are fully compatible with industry-standard PC display formats, as well as video input from VCRs, camcorders, DVD Video Players, laserdisc, and broadcast. With the TLP 470 and TLP 471, you can project bright, vivid images even in well-lighted environments. And the projected image won't fade or "drop off" at the corners of the screen. An advanced multi-coated lens system and optical integrator keep the image bright and clear across the entire screen. Overall brightness is remarkable 1, 300 ANSI lumens, with a peripheral brightness ratio of 90%. The flexibility of the TLP 470 and TLP 471 make it ideal for virtually any size location from an office to a lecture hall. You can project to a screen (or a wall) just four feet away, or from as far as 32 feet. The size of the projected image can range from 22 inches to 250 inches (diagonal), depending on the distance to the screen. For extra versatility, these two models let you flip the image horizontally or vertically, so it can also be used in ceiling installations and with rear projection screens. The image quality of the TLP 470 and TLP 471 make them ideal as a large-screen projection system for home theater installations. They project bright, vivid images from your VCR, DVD player, laserdisc, or cable/satellite programming. Optional ceiling mount is available. The full-featured remote lets you manage your "show" from anywhere in the room. Controls the input selection, picture and audio mute, volume, and other functions.

Review of Toshiba TLP B2 by k_jones

Advantages: size of an A4 piece of paper
Disadvantages: replacement bulb cost

...This review is for my other projector (gotta love Ebay) the Toshiba TLP-B2 now if you want the specific specs then please also look at the product information tab. This review is about how I feel about the performance of this unit and then some hehehe. The Advantages: The Projector: This unit is VERY small (size of an A4 piece of paper) and very light and because of this I have no worries that it is going to fall out of the ceiling where it is mounted currently. When I bought mine it came with a very nice carry case that could hold the unit, remote and still had enough room to hold any papers or presentation materials you may have to use. The picture produced by this machine is GREAT with its 16million colors plus combined with a light bulb that produces 1000 lumens and lasts for 2000+ hours you don't need to be in a pitch... Toshiba TLP-S30 A Form Over Function Projector
Review of Toshiba TLP S30 by taylora-2006

Advantages: Looks Great - Very Stylish, Compact & Very Light.
Disadvantages: Not Bright Enough At All

...The Toshiba TLP-S30 Projector This projector is very aesthetically pleasing, it looks very modern and and the face of it looks to be a great projector. There are several important factors to look at when considering buying a projector and that is the brightness. This projector boasts a 1400 lumen lamp. For those of you who aren't used to projector terminology, lumens are just a unit for the measure of how bright the bulb in a projector is (and lamp is just the correct term for a projector bulb) Now this isn't an amazing brightness, but the Sanyo PLC-SU20 (just as an example) works comfortably at 1200 lumens and around 1500 lumens is really what somebody new to projectors should probably be looking at. So the brightness of this projector is good then you woul think. Well actually no; On paper the projector should perform very well... Read review

Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro P100-327 - Core 2 Duo T7400 2.16 GHz - 17" TFT by profesortomas

Advantages: Orange, beatifull, slim, FANTASTIC!!!
Disadvantages: No one!

...I work as IT technical and see a lot of laptops every day, i have to say that i like the beatifull laptops, and Toshiba makes the difference with this once. You can see it in orange color, a TFT of 17" clear, with a beatifull surface. The keyboard like others Toshiba is correct, i like the sesibility of the keys, and the durability of these. Toshiba provides a software preinstalled to configure all the wired, wifi, wireless connections, and this can make very easy for the user to setup a wireless connection or a lan connection. The so provided is Windows XP professional, and functions correctly, the speed is very good, and no sound when you are working. The durability of Toshibas Laptops is exceptional, in our enterprise we have a lot of toshiba laptops and there is no problem with.... Read review
