I always like to be ahead of the crowd and when I saw this phone I just had to have it.

Its on Vodafone (only) at the moment and as far as I know only on PAYG.

On first sight it looks very much like a mirror compact. Its sleek, silver design if very feminine and lightweight.

Its a clamshell phone and on opening reveals its black interior. The keypad is very flat and when illuminated reveals an orange backlight which is very subtle. The big inside screen is very vibrant and clear. It also has an outer LCD screen showing the signal strength, battery strength, time date and status of the phone ie. if vibrate is activated, if you have a missed call etc.

The sim card holder is in a very unusual place, on opening the phone its just under the screen, not the normal place of behind the battery.

It is a 2.5G integrated camera phone with the following specifications:

Size: 97mm x 46mm x 17mm
Volume: approx 75cc
Weight: less than 95g

Main Display:
Size: 1.8 inch
LCD: Thin Film Transistor (TFT)
Colours: 65 k
Resolution: 128 x 160 pixel

Sub display:
LCD: FSTN
Resolution: 96 x 64 pixel

Camera:
Resolution: 640 x 480 pixel
Type: VGA CMOS
Zoom: 4x

Messaging:
MMS: OMA 1.0
SMS: GSM TS 7.05
Predictive: T9

Network Access:
GSM: 900/1800/1900
GPRS: Class 8

Picture:
File Format: JPEG

Audio:
Ringtones: 16 polyphonic

Internet access:
Browser: WAP 2.0

Accessories:
Charger
Headset

Battery:
Type: Li-ion 700 mAh
Standby: Up to 150 hours
Talk time: Up to 150 minutes

It is also quite a basic phone although it boasts WAP and a x4 digital zoom camera its design is in a class of its own.

The Toshiba TS10 is one of the thinest phones on the market at the moment and, as far as I know, only on Vodafone PAYG for £50.00 which in my mind is very, very good value for money. A stylish phone for a fraction of the price.

Unfortunately I had to take the handset back to Vodafone once as it would not ring when on the charger it would just vibrate. When I got my second handset unfortunately it went from bad to worse as when charging the back of the phone got very hot and I had to have the phone switched on when charging as I used it as an alarm clock.
