Advantages: Value For money Disadvantages: No Bluetooth
...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshibatecram3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place...

Advantages: Sleek design, very powerful, reliable, large screen and typical premium quality as expected from Toshiba Disadvantages: Heavy and a little large. this is a very protable lap top but you can't exactly throw it around due to it's weight and slightly larger then normal size
...means you can multitask and good quality sound and video. The Intel Centrino 1.7GHz processor is equivilent to the speed of a 2.5 to 3GHz desk top computer. Extremely fast.
The Centrino processor also allows for longer battery life; 5-6 hours, about as long as you'll find on the best of notebooks these days.
One low point about this notebook is it's weight, it is rather heavy so it's not quite as portable as some of the other notebooks which you can throw around but it is still fairly portable. No big problems there. Although it is quite thin, It is also fairly large in size due to the very large screen.
You do pay a premium for Toshiba products but in return you get a product which is of high quality, durable and reliable. If you need reliability, go for Toshiba, otherwise you is better value to go for some of the less expensive...

The Dell D series of laptops came out in 2003 to replace the C series laptops (how did they come up with such a catchy name?). The main ranges are the D400, D600 and D800 spot the pattern yet. The D600 is the middle of the range in terms of size, weight more
This really is what it says it is - Toshiba, the mark of quality and reliability, and Portege, meaning it is portable. The Toshiba Portege is an excellent laptop.

I for one, absolutely love the look of this acer. The bottom of the laptop just looks really cool, and the top looks ok too. One only criticism on the look, would be that the plastic at the tip of the screen is a little thick, but then again it does have more
I've recently purchased this laptop after my previous one broke and i'm very pleased with it. As a student, i needed a laptop that was simple to use to get my work done and this was it. Compared to my old laptop, this one is much faster, simple to use,... more
