Toshiba ZIP drive 100 MB

Advantages: Fast, easy to use, well spread
Disadvantages: Poor Mb/£ value, and relative speed.

...I have owned a Internal SCSI Zip 100 for three years, used initially for back-up purposes, but now generally is used for large image work as temporary storage, but I used it for downloads as some computers at college had Zip Drives, and this is was extremely useful with there is a very fast connection on tap. Now the Zip Drive has almost become unused now, as I have DVD/CDRW now, which is used for large amounts of data archiving of around 4Gb. Otherwise, the Zip drive was used extremely heavily and not had problems with the Click of Death.... Read review

Advantages: powerful, Vista Home Premium
Disadvantages: 4200 rpm harddrive, unidentify Geforce 7900 card, 533 bus Ram

....M.A.R.T. But speed not seems to be enough, 4200 rpm could make Windows start slower than expected and loading game time might be increased. It is a bit strange when Toshiba made such a powerful laptop and gave it a 4200 rpm hard drive. Graphic : Nvidia Geforce Go 7900 with 512 Mb of GDDR can impress any gamer. However Toshiba doesn't mention about its version, 512Mb 7900 GS or 512Mb 7900 GTX, so it will be a bit difficult in comparing with other systems. However, a 17" wide screen WXGA 1440x900 will make the Grapphic Card fly as the resolution is not so high, this means that there's only around 1300000 pixel on the screen, much smaller then 1600x1200. The cooling system seems to work fine. The laptop will not suit you if you'r expecting to get a thin laptop. Overall, nice gaming laptop, powerful however, Dell XPS or Alienware might be a better choice.... Read review

...I am using the Iomega Zip 250 via USB for my work and I really like this storage device compared to the earlier one, the 100 MB Zip which I find it insufficient at times. The outlook of this portable device is sleek and the blue transparent case gives it some class of its own. It gives fast connection over USB and I have no problems transferring data from my harddisk to the drive. In fact, I could also played music from the zip disc. This storage device is handy if you are planning to move large files or data from one computer to another which is not physically connected at all. I rate the Iomega Zip 250 as one of the best portable storage device that Iomega has ever designed.... Read review
