    Advantages Advantages Realistic

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Addictive

    * The First Bit I've been challenged by my better half (MissBooBookitty for those nosey people out there!) to write an op on Total Club Manager, a football game which has seen me glued to the PC for the best part of a couple of months now. This should be easy, right? Well it should, as it has been a mainstay in my CD-ROM drive for longer than I care to remember, but to be honest I'm going to find it hard to be impartial. Here goes then: * The Packaging The packaging is your bulk standard PC box. Similar to DVD packaging, with a picture of Sir Bobby Robson on the cover in familiar ponderous ... more

Advantages Advantages Great Attention to detail

Disadvantages Disadvantages Very time consuming and may be a bit hard at first

Where to start is such a hard question for this game. Yet another one of my yearly buys needs reviewing. This years Football manager by EA sports has had the name of the game changed after a German developer taken over the developing of the game. Total club manager will now be the familiar name for the Football managing sim. Each year the game becomes more advanced and personally I think it has taken over from championship manager. With very detailed features in this year’s version it has taken a big step from all of its predecessors. The game has been out for about two months now but I have ... more

Advantages Advantages Integrates both text interface and 3D action

Disadvantages Disadvantages Database is lacking for non-Europe leagues

TCM 2003 is the first soccer management sim that has successfully taken the step towards bringing together the text interface of management and a 3D game interface. It is a step further from its apparent predecessor, Premier League Manager also produced by EA Sports which had limitations with respect to the management abilities available. In TCM 2003, you are given the opportunity to handle all the imaginable aspects of a football club (except for the Board of Directors of course, though you can influence them by your actions) With respect to the 3D interface, quite a bit still remains to be ... more

    Advantages Advantages Up-to-date Information

Disadvantages Disadvantages Stats begin to take over

Challenging Championship Manager is a little like taking on the current Real Madrid side. Several try and eventually one will beat the best, but most get cruelly taken apart within minutes. The latest contender to the footballing incumbent is EA's Total Club Manager. Although it's clearly the second-best management game on the market, it lacks the magic thathas kept a generation of trainee Sir Alex Fergusons glued to their screens. If statistics wear you down then you'll be sick as a parrot within minutes of loading up Total Club Manager. Each player is rated by the usual characteristics, as ... more

Advantages Advantages Good Solid management Game

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Prone To Crashing

Ok then, this game is primarily based on the basics of magaing a football team, and it has many new features that others have been afraid to delvve into, and Electronic Artas have once again pulled it off! Installing it on your PC take about 5 minutes, and as long as your system is windows 98 or above, you should be fine. You can start off at any stage of the difficulty system but obviously I'd recommend starting at the easiest. You can be any club form one of the 43 leagues. Features of the game are that you can build youths camps from various destinations all over the wordl (at a small cost) ... more
